Ed Reed’s comments about HBCU’s

For all you folks who keep thinking how Ed did this is correct you're living in a fantasy land in how PWI's would handle this. I have a white female co-worker who's mother taught at University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) in the nursing school. These two professors took to social media to talk about the school and some of the things the department was doing and how they didn't like it. Within 48 hours they were escorted off campus. Terminated and a letter basically sent to all the other professors saying who's next. Air our shyt out and you gone. Only black people like messy stuff. The real world does not work on weak azz emotions. Men who support weak emotions usually come from single parent households or daddy was weak too. He is an employee. He talks to his boss. As a man he should've went to the AD and president first. BCU let your nuts hang and show him the door. I bet some of yall seen your mom seen slap your pops in the mouth too. Your old ladies taking that strap to you too. SMH!

I think Reed will be one of those NFL-types that will use the HBCU as a stepping stone to other coaching opportunities. If he experiences success at BCU, in 3-years' time, you will probably see him elevate to power-5 coaching. I just hope the fanbase at BCU don't sell their souls to him like the fanbase at Jackson did for Deion.

Exactly.

He KNOWS better than to pull some shit like this at Miami. Why think it's acceptable at a HBCU? Lack of respect, that's why.

He said on national tv twice he was going to look at offers but some folks swore he had no interest in leaving. I just smh... my ONLY issue was really that whole press run after the SCG.

Back to the topic. This is worse than anything Prime said.

As far as I'm concerned every PWI is a part of a criminal enterprise. It's just that since they are a part of the original crime family, they have learned to sharpen their skills and hide their hands more.

They are still stealing and do not have our best interests at heart.

Ed Reed does not appear to be the ntellectual-type. I wonder what gives this man the wherewithall to think that he knows everything about college football coaching and administration and noone else in HBCUdom knows anything. How dare him say that he had done more in a week and a half than some at BCU had done in years. Such a belief only serves to undermine the blood, sweat, and tears that Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and those following in her footsteps have expended to advance this great institution of higher learning that is still paying dividends to our Black youth today, more than 119 years after its founding. If his recent comments are any indication, Reed appears to be a man lacking for wisdom.

If he failed to followed proper protocol that is an issue. Is there proof that he had not already spoken with the higher ups?. Regardless, it is not good all of the time to share in house business. And as Mandela said, "do not air your dirty laundry out in public". Besides not following the proper protocol, what did he say that was not true? We have to hold all universities including PWI's and HBCU's accountable for proper business decisions. Whether that is facilities, fiscal, community involvement, academics or athletics.

Nothing he said is true! He has a stereotyped vision of his justification for choosing Miami over Southern and Grambling. He has seemingly held his views for a long time and couldn’t wait to unload on a school still recovering from a hurricane and the damage it caused.

PWI Black Elitist Athlete and their white entitlement. He could have contact the administrators and sat down and had a discussion. He has the same "savior mentality" as Deion Sanders. You get on social media and act a fool with a person who trolled you; how in the world are you going to handle adversity when BCU are delayed with getting some resources to the football program? I would rather he quit and find a PWI FBS school to coach at, that's right he can't be a head coach for one of them without coaching experience; now he can be that bag man or assistant coach who recruit for them though. BCU deserved better than that with two natural disasters in less than 2 months. Have we ever heard of white coaches publicly disparaging the university that they are hired to discussing non-athletic facilities at a PWI? Then you have the masses of black people who follows this celebrity fool and believe everything he said who hasn't even signed the contract. Didn't his parents attend a SWAC school? SMDH
 
So let me get this right.....Er Reed applies to be the head coach....accepts the position.....then shits on the school the first 48 hours. Mannnnnn fugg that uncle Tom white bread chicken shit motherfucker!!!!! His ass went to a white school for his athletic ability and they wouldn't allow him to be head coach so he has to prove himself at a black school. Man fugg these dudes.
 
Yep. Fugg them white bread Uncle Tom folks who went to PWIs. They don't emphasize or sympathize with "the HBCU experience". Have a hard time accepting things we've learned to tolerate. Things we've learned to sweep under the rug. Things we overlook and ignore. They BETTER NOT point out the inadequacies of our schools that could and should be fixed. Get out of here with that white folks thinking that schools should perform effectively and efficiently. Be clean? Fugg that white man's thinking. His brain is broken by thinking the white man's ice is colder.

Fugg them folks. HBCUs don't need their help. We're happy with our negra way of thinking. As long as the voices in the negra echo chamber are saying the same things and makes us warm and fuzzy - that's all that matters.

Did I do it right?

While y'all are saying fugg them folks, many are saying fugg you too. Not bringing their talents, contacts, and resources to places that don't respect them. Places where they are shown that they are unwelcome and unappreciated. For a small amount of pay at a place that is unclean and disorganized and the people don't care because "that's SWAC". That's what it means to be Black. To be HBCU. You have to accept and be comfortable with half-assed sh!t. That's "the HBCU experience". The only thing done well is shucking and jiving.

In the long run, HBCU people will have to take care of HBCU problems. By yourself.

Because insular attitudes from HBCU people may provide solidarity among yourselves, but they are repulsive to others.

So ... yeah ... fugg them. And fugg you too.
