The college football world was treated to a Southern Heritage Classic last season between Tennessee State and Jackson State that featured Eddie George and Deion Sanders as coaches, but JSU has elected to exit the rivalry's agreement with three years left.

As the old saying goes, 'you hit the nail on the head"....That's the problem with Tenn St8....TSU will not play any other HBCU on a home to home basis, unless it's a Classic....They are into playing other HBCU's in Classics in order to make money, and that's it. We (FAMU) stop playing TSU in 2017, and I don't think we will ever play them again....We use to play them for years in The Atlanta Football Classic, now they have lost JSU in the Southern Heritage.....
I feel sorry for The Aristocrat of Bands, they actually have no other band to look forward to on their schedule.....Tenn St8 should have been in SWAC ions ago....FRFR

TSU's President is a gracious lady and above reproach. I just hate JSU didn't give her a courtesy call. Glover is a Certified Public Accountant, an Attorney and is one of two African American women to hold the Ph.D.-CPA-JD combination in the nation. Glover once served as JSU's Dean of the School of Business. Oh well, on to Birmingham.

Most recently Jsu smacked Gsu around in the spring at Grambling and could’ve in the fall had both schools agreed to play. Count Jsu as an “L” for the G-Men this fall.

Obviously your Bama St thought process is showing. We have won the most games in the John Merritt Classic than anyone. Since moving to the SWAC we own TNSU. This is why they would rather play Gump St in the John Merritt Classic because we beat them while Bama St got whipped. Look up the record.....
