Deion Sanders' photo without mask. It says everything about how complicated navigating pandemic is

So Kendrick, you really gon be that dude huh? Smh

Out of all the various stories you could write, you select to claim your spot and place your flag on "Covid Hill"!

Can't help but discern that there is something eerily misplaced with your judgement and line of thinking.

But then again, maybe you are attempting to follow a similar theme that Candace introduced with her earlier hit piece via the WP.

They were right. Sometimes it's your own people! All Israel ain't Israel!

The article is true and I think people are mad about the choice of individual to bring the issue to the forefront. I hate to say it but we tend to get relaxed around our people. So I understand that Coach Sanders may not wear a mask with his friends. Dangerous...yes....

I say make jsu forfeit football games to Mvsu & TexSou for this act of deviance and mandate Kendrick to be their Covid-19 Czar! LOL

So writing that it’s not the wisest idea for anyone — particularly a well-known football to coach engage in activity that places themselves and others at risk during a pandemic that’s sickened millions and killed hundreds of thousands — is misplaced judgment?

If I may answer your question.... No, it does not, however , the assumption that you know if they were tested prior to this photo is also problematic to me. If Deion had been evangelic to all the proper protocol of COVID safety and had preachEd his position publically for all to see then I could see your point, but that has not been him in any media to my knowledge, for all we know he may be a COVID denier. If he did then it would be appropriate to call him out for being the hypocrite he is.

‘They say a picture is worth a thousand words and in my opinion this is just your interpretation of what that picture Says. I’m not defending his actions but you are not in any position to know what transpired before or after this photo was taken. In fact non of us are unless we were privied to being there. If you are asserting he has a social responsibility based on his high profile to be more cognitive of how something like this would be perceived then I am somewhat in agreement with you but that’s not how the article read. It came off as if you knew more than was written.

1. Even if they were tested prior to the meeting/photo, it doesn't reduce the risk of exposure, particularly if they were eating in a public place around others. And just because someone gets a negative result, doesn't necessarily mean they are COVID-free. There are documented instances of people getting a negative result one day and testing positive days later. The White House superspreader event this summer is an example of that.

2. I do know what happened prior to the photo. The caption says it all. They were eating and laughing (per Deion) either inside a residence or restaurant. The last time I checked, that can't be done while wearing masks. Everyone in that setting was at a high risk of being exposed.

3. Yes, I'm saying everyone, including Deion Sanders, has social responsibility in navigating this pandemic. That means we all have to move differently and adjust our behaviors accordingly. There is a reason the CDC advised against everything from traveling to gathering indoors without masks with anyone, not in your immediate household. There is a reason cities have either shut down or reduced capacity in restaurants and bars and gyms. Deion has millions of followers on social media. He has a large platform. He's respected. If people see him hanging out with folks at restaurants, some will naturally believe it's OK and safe to do, too when it isn't under the best of circumstances.

A lot of people are doing -- have done -- everything possible to pull of a season. And we've seen how one slip up can impact a team and even entire leagues and conferences. So, yeah, that dude has got to be careful where he goes and who he interacts with.

Way too many generalities for me... I’m not gonna respond to them but OK if you still don’t get it.
