Don't be surprised if this lady gets her job back somewhere down the line. It is my understand the Food Network received a big backlash from their decision. Let me just say this: I am sick of both ignorant black and white people. I am appalled by right wing congressmen attack on the poor and black on black crime for starters. I am appalled at institutional racism as well as young black men walking around with their pants half way off of their butts. I am appalled at the black high school drop out rate and the proliferation of white hate groups. I can do this all day but am sure you get the picture........

Have you read a lot of the comments from those articles about the backlash the Food Network is receiving? Apparently its ok because she only insulted Blacks. You let Jewish folks get insulted and I bet you won't have a bunch of Jews running around giving passes about it that's for sure. I think people are comparing apples to oranges. One CAN be against racism as well as black on black crime etc, and bringing up one to excuse the other is just a lame attempt to deflect.

After reading the actual Jackson vs. Deen complaint online, Paula Deen or her racist @zz brother don't have to worry about me eating at her restaurants. There is much more to this than Deen saying the N word. I guess they didn't think another white woman would snitch on them.

I don't excuse either behavior. I think both are sickening and disgusting. One of the problems with black people is they get emotionally charged when white people do something heinous (rightfully so) and "turn the other cheek" and choose to ignore the repugnant behavior of blacks (un-rightfully so). Neither of the two are acceptable. The way I see it is all of the black militants as well as the white right wing radicals should go to their own little island and segregate themselves or have their own little war and leave the rest of us the hell alone. :lol: :emlaugh: That's not going to happen, so we're stuck with the ignorant MF(s). :smh: :lol: :emlaugh: The Fox News Network & Sotomayer News could be their major news sources on the Island........

It's interesting how this is about Paula Deen, yet when a gangbanger in Chicago shoots and kills innocent bystanders and children it's not about them. Not about the person that pulled the trigger. It's about their environment and every other excuse you can find for them.

Why doesn't Paula Deen get the opportunity to blame her upbringing and environment? Surely, that's the "cause" of her racism. Why doesn't she get the opportunity to explain away her behavior?

Why must she be personally responsible? If a murderer is not responsible, surely a little racism can be explained away.

However, the point all along, is that maybe we're all responsible for ourselves and what we do despite how we've been influenced by our situations and environments. Paula Deen, gangbangers and all.

By the way, the original complaint and Paula Deen's deposition make good reading if you have the time. I read both. Kudos to whoever suggested that.

In my opinion, Paula might as well break open the kitty and settle this case. Might be her best option at this point.
