Doug says there is no QB controversy, but there may be a RB controversy

GRAMBLING -- Grambling State head football coach Doug Williams made it clear in no uncertain terms there is no quarterback controversy within his team.
“D.J. (Williams) is the starting quarterback, point blank,â€￾ Williams said during his weekly news conference Monday. “You can write that to all the naysayers who coach from the sidelines, from the booth and all your buddies. It’s no quarterback controversy. D.J. is the quarterback. Clear?â€￾


Doug Williams, however, could not say with equal certainty the same about the Tigers’ running back situation.

Basically, Doug is about to lose the morale of his whole team because now they see that D.J. is "Entitled". That is never good for any football team. You earn your spot based on competition, not name.

Espesially when you have a backup that kind of gave up baseball for football and was the QB when the season turned around last year. The running backs need opportunity but the QB's don't. HUH HUH WHAT HUH .

Doug and Jones HAVE to be first cousins.... Jones basically is saying the same thing about Mason. lol.... He passed for about 33 yards last game but accordin to Jones HE AINT THE PROBLEM.

Doug Jr stumble against Bamma State and ya'll starting QB situation is going to make JSU's seem tame with the stance Doug has taken. He basically told everyone I got one QB and thats it unless he gets injured.

Thank The Almighty I'm Cowboys Made. The Redskins Ain't Won Nothing since they beat the lowly Bills in 1991 :lol:.

NO WONDER the SWAC has Coaching Trouble and ESPECIALLY QB Issues.
