Doug says there is no QB controversy, but there may be a RB controversy


Not trying to play devils advocate, but hasn't Doug earned the benefit of the doubt based on his track record?

He didn't play for the Skins. Just coached on the previous staff. He played with the Cardinals. And BTW, the Skins have no QB issues anymore do they. I wouldn't be bragging on the Cowboys vs Skins right now. They are both long overdue for some playoff success.

Some of you people are blaming DJ for that thorough ass whooping that TCU put on Grambling? Who with any football knowledge thought otherwise that TCU wasn't going to tap that behind. To sit back and take these cheap shots at Doug and DJ because of this is kind of raunchy and cheesy. Which one of you Vince Lombardi and Air McNair types could have done a better job Saturday night?

JRock no one is blaming Doug or DJ for the lose. Well not me. My problem is I see the same mistakes DJ made the week before last against Alcorn. Yet, I am really reserving my comments until after the 6th game. Also Doug's ego stating that it's everyone's except DJ is what has people reay messed up.

You couldn't post a link with a verbatim quote if your life depended on it. This is an example of the overzealous behavior that a lot of you people are exemplifying. There is no "but" so stop with the passive aggressive statements. I can never understand why some people in our community are so jealous of one another. When someone is doing their job with a proven track record and an extraordinary amount of wisdom in his field of endeavor, these laymen should leave him alone. As far as I know Doug doesn't go to any of these people jobs lecturing them on how to drop chicken parts in the grease or what ever they do so leave him alone. :lol: :emlaugh: He is the defending coach of the year and SWAC champion.

I don't have to look at that tape. I am 100% certain that Doug did not say, "it's everyone's fault except DJ" like Flounder stated. He would have had to call out every single starter except D.J. It is why I used the word "verbatim."

Not from us, but from yall, hell yeah! Now, I don't think I would have taken the position he did, but that's just Doug being Doug. He thinks DJ is ready so I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. To Doug, DJ is being singled out because that's his son and he got riled.

Now yall back off... he wasn't talking to yall, he was talking to us. I hope DJ took note and takes that same mindset as his Daddy! Hell, Baby that's just Grambling. We biggity like that...real talk. Now DJ needs to come out and back up his Coach's confidence... Throw the rock to those receivers...they ain't slouches. Target them early and often and play pitch and catch. I'm not worried about Roberts... he's not a sideliner, that kid has dreams and pride. You talking about a kid who don't smoke, don't drink, makes the honor roll and is hungry to be a winner on and off the field. You can't sit that!

I say stand up and defend the right things as opposed to being popular with the wrong people for the wrong reason. Some of you people won't be happy until you get a James Bell back there in the woods. Then what are you going to do watch TV year round? You know there is nothing else to do back there but watch TV and go to The Rob and watch Grambling football. :lol: :emlaugh:
