Doesn't matter. The kid has a team he can play on basically for free with kids in his same grade and no weight limit.

We already know that the University of Texas is going to make sure he gets all the football coaching he needs. I'm pretty sure they'll send somebody there to work with him to get him the proper techniques and everything. That story got him all the attention he needs. UT is on it! lol

He may be a kid, but he's an almost 300lb kid! And he's well over the weight limit for that team. There's a reason why little league/pee wee football has weight limits set in place.....little bodies don't like it when big bodies fall down on them!
If mom wants to make this a reality for her son, she needs to help him lose some weight so he can meet the requirements and play.

He wouldn't hurt no one, he's only gonna play on the line and a smart coach knows how to teach their kids how to block against someone that size. It's all fear that everyone has because of his size. You got to remember he's only going to play against other kids his age not against younger kids.

I know when my son was 12 and playing we had kids at all kinds of sizes and weight. The only weight rule they had was for kids who ran or caught the ball on offense. Also if he is in 7th grade he should be playing on the 7th grade team. I know the leagues in my area always had a non-compete clause with the school district. So no one in 7th grade or higher could play in the league because the schools run those teams and it's a no cut rule for the schools. All of the middle schools have 2 teams for 7th & 8th graders.

No she's not. She should have read the rules before signing him up and saw that he was too big for the league. He's in the 7th grade and NOW he just HAS to play PEE WEE football. If it's so important for him to play football then he will be okay with playing on the school team.
I'm willing to bet this little will probably participate in a couple of practices and MAYBE a game or two before he quits.

Women have puzzified sports. :shame: This sounds like what one of my boys is dealing with. His wife told him to tell the coach to put their son in a position that is safe and for he want get hurt. Football is physical. If you want a pretty boy, put him on the cheer leading squad.

Well I understand but like I said earlier some high school coach should step in a start training him. I remember the high school coach at GHS. Heir he saw a dude he would tell, "come on boy and put these pads we will talk to momma later" and that was that.

My son played against this kid in his 12 and under league in Grand Prairie Tx he is about 6'2" about 230 pounds he caught my 85 pound son only one time on a block, but he didn't catch him anymore, on the kid in the article I'm not sure if he could catch anyone to hurt them, he would probably be on the line, dang why are these kids so big in Texas :noidea:
And this is him next to his team mates who aren't that small for 12 year olds and he is 12 also, oh ignore the kid on the ground he didn't do it :lol:

Growing up, we had cats bigger than the rest of their age group. You know what parents did? They put the abnormally large boys in the group with the older boys.
However, y'all talking football, but this boy is 12 years old and close to my height and weight. If that doesn't send up red flags health-wise, I don't know what will. Forget football, this child needs some medical evaluation first.

The mama and the coach pussified him by trying to get him to play against 6th graders who are 200lbs smaller instead of having him play against 7th graders on his school team.

Where was all this protest when big "Mala" and big "Sumo" were pounding our rat-turn lil' skinny azzes in the 7th grade during practices? 
If we went through it, all of us should go through it. :| BTW, "Mala" and "Sumo" went on to play for UofH and UNLV respectively. Mala ended up bottoming out @ 6'7" 360lbs and Sumo topped out @ 6'2" 340lbs (if memory serves correct). :read:
