SWACINSIDER- If you live in Houston over the years the media would put TSU down because it was an attempt to close the school. TSU has placed so many folks in the middle to upper class probably more than any other SWAC schools. Our pharmacy school has been graduating students since the '50s, our law school has been sending graduates to city, state, and national positions for years. Our Eductaion department has been producing teachers and principals for years, and the Business School has been developing business owners for decades.

Stop watching TV so much and GET the real facts!!!!! Anyting else I need to school you on about TSU then ask me and not just hear the one-sided news reports.

You force me to do this. My job consists of analysis, statistics, Quantitative and Qualitative research in education. Texas Southern has a 12% graduation rate, 12%. The Law Program is struggling and many in that program are struggling passing the bar exam but you tell me not to listen to news reports. I don't have to. The figures, statistics and information are all over the internet. Houston has never supported Texas Southern and it's Texas Southern's fault. Your own alum threw his own school under the bus for cheating and not abiding NCAA rules so that just adds to the problems of Texas Southerns image and reputation but keep your maroon and grey blinders on but to be in a big city Texas Southern doesn't measure up. Most schools education departments are very productive, again Texas Sou isn't doing anything spectacular. The Pharmacy Dept. is low ranked and that's why when the public looks for the rankings it shows "rank but not published". The school as a whole shows "un-ranked" due to the very low ranking so bruh get out of here with that crap like Texas Southern is just the cream of the crop. Spell education correctly by the way since you're from a school of higher learning. Sorry i had to go there but back to topic.

I am reposting what I typed in this thread earlier.....this is for the PV folks , GSU folks, and SWACINSIDER.......So, why can't you people accept the fact that the game is going to be palyed at Delmar and it is a financial move for us? You folks do realize that the entire country, state, and city are in a budget crunch. That said, TSU is doing what is best for us and if you don't like it, then stay your ass at home. It is NOT called the LDC this year because it is NOT Labor Day when the game is played. All of you guys are hating because you fear what a winning program at TSU will do.

TSU has a large alumni base in Houston, the big city with lots to do and over the years we did NOT win- so as many Houstonians- if you do not win then we are not coming. Ask the Rockets, Astros, anOod soon to be Texans if they don't get it together. We all know what TSU fans, students, and alumni will do behind a winner. We showed up for Southern and went to Birmingham and we are not a traveling school. Once we play in our stadium, yes, OUR stadium we will increase our fan base, increase our revenue, and take over the SWAC as I stated before.

How many times have we heard GSU and JSU folks say if my school was in Houston we would have big crowds....BullSCh** you would not. GSU goes on the road because nobody will travel to Grambling-check the attendance. As far as our fans looking to play PV- many of the black folks in Houston go to see two black schools play and because they know someone who has graduated form one or both schools and to see the bands. Hell, PV folks are happy to play us and in Houston trust me on that. I can't count the times over the years where PV folks hoped, prayed, fasted, chanted, performed voodoo, etc. hoping to beat TSU. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard people say the games between TSU vs PV are boring I would be rich and could have built TSU a stadium in cash years ago. Hell, I went to the game to support TSU because by the time it was 50-0 leaving after halftime was the norm for many. Sorry ass PV is the reason the game never drew 50K because of the poor performing team.

State Fair Classic- as you mentioned 80 years of history so most of the people there go to participate in the circus. Take away the Fair and it would be just another game. I heard back in the 60s TSU vs GSU use to draw 40K-50K so again PV has looked forward to playing us not the other way around.

This season, watch how many GSU folks come to GSU to see us play, hell look at how many of them came out on a Thursday night to play us in 2010. As the season progressed TSU's crowds grew. Just admit it you folks fear what is going to happen in the SWAC and that is what- let's say it together TSU is going to take over the SWAC! Now, you feel better- breathe!

:emlaugh:

So your basically saying PV's success is what drives this game and nothing else? I appreciate the compliment....

Pretty much. :smh: :emlaugh:

They're digging a deeper hole with their "explanations". That makes no sense. Even with a losing PV team the LDC drew crowds of over 40K.

+1. :emlaugh: Damn.

This is beyond :smh:

Isn't it?! :smh: :emlaugh:

The things some schools will do... :smh:

Have yall called to check out Robertson yet? Or since it's apparently PV's fault that you scheduled YOUR home game at Delmar, do we need to do it? :emlaugh:

Yeah, go for it and call over to Lamar while you at it. Thanks for the support.

Yall ever consider moving it back to the end of the season and both teams schedule a $$$ game at the start of the season? Just curious!

San Antonio HBCU games never get off the ground...the one that did saw more money go to the visiting team than the home team

but once again, you play there it would take both schools to work together in order to pull that off....

That market is overrated in my opinion....UTSA FB will be a niche group, Texas State fans are small....even the Saints struggled..
