Cornell West: "Obama has a certain fear of free black men"

Loyalty & Respect
“I think my dear brother Barack Obama has a certain fear of free black men,’’ West said. “It’s understandable. As a young brother who grows up in a white context, brilliant African father, he’s always had to fear being a white man with black skin. All he has known culturally is white . . . When he meets an independent black brother, it is frightening.’’

I'm going to love watching how all these idiot hucklebuck racoon azz negros act when YT is back in the Oval Office. I'm going to laugh everytime they complain. :lecture:

This same pro-black professor has never taught at a HBCU. Yeah, black power huh? ................

Lol. I am not riding with West but he has a few points. The President is very much culturally white. That is not of his making though. I don't think he is afraid of black people, dude was a community organizer and a lawyer for Acorn for crying out loud. Now, his staff and advisers.....

This comment reminds me of Hopkins comment calling McNabb an Unlce Tom.
It's basically the exact same thing but because these guys are supposed to be the "smart blacks" and Hopkins is just a boxer, nobody is really going to call them out like they did Hopkins. Guess you can call people like WEST one of the so-called "untouchable" blacks. :smh:

He just sees the game and how the prezzy is a front man. He is trying to shame him into doing something to help the negro. I thought that is what our "leaders" are supposed to do. Get things on the agenda for us and action taken on those agenda items. Black folks spend more time talking about Michelle Obama's clothes than actual agenda items that will help the poor, working and middle classes.

This right here is true on so many levels. The people who are affected the most by govt cuts are often the least engaged. Americans are just lazy, I have to a conclusion.

Obama has done that, been doing that, and has not stopped doing that.
Guess you missed it when he was trying to get shat done for the middle class and get the economy rolling only to be stonewalled by the PARTY of NO.

These negros trying to shame OBAMA? Where was these negros at trying to shame the last President into doing something before the bottom fell out. Mofo's was sitting at home scared to look in BUSH's direction. When the bottom fell out, then all of them started jawjacking AFTER THE FACT as usual.

And BTW:
EVERY 1st Ladys Fashion style has been on the covers of every magazine in the world everytime they step out. Ya'll act like black people can't do the same thing for Michelle Obama as was done for every other 1st lady in history.

Good lawd. :smh:

Wait...when have Black folks focused on Michelle Obama's fashion?!!

When was the last time her fashion was discussed on TSPN?!!

Shat, I hear women at church talking about Michelle's fashion all the time

The dilemna of lower class America in 2011. You got one side that does not realize they are poor or almost poor and they do everything they can to carry water for the Rich and on the other side, they don't vote..

Personally, I don't blame Obama. I wouldn't stick my neck out for negroes either. Half of us aint going to do anything with the opportunity/resources and half us aint going to vote. Why stick your neck out for some folks who won't even go to the polls?

The South Sudanese just risked gunfire and militia's to vote for secession because they thought they weren't getting a good deal. The Egyptians overthrew a President cause they felt he was hogging money. The American poor just sit at home and take it.

Shat, I hear women at church talking about Michelle's fashion all the time

You heard two women at Church and now that's "all Black folks talk about"....smh

Random women at Church talking about Michelle's fashion!?! ...I think you lying though...

I also heard it on TJMS. Not saying that I hear it all the time. However, I have heard more black folks talking about Michelle's Fashion than I have heard black folks talking the budget cuts to federal social programs.

I have yet to hear a conversation about that outside of the usual suspects in the DMV and maybe a post or two on TSPN.

For every cent he has put in the pockets of less than wealthy people, he has put a couple hundred bucks in the pockets of the wealthy. That is NOT what I voted for. If that satisfies you, you are more than welcome to it.
