Where can I see the SWAC basketball signings?

Devil's Gun Trigger Man

onward and upward son!
I've been looking all over the internet and can't find anything. I'm trying to see who my boy Strib picked up, and see if there is any info on them, because I've been hearing a couple good rumors.

Try fansonly.com. I know they had all of our signees when I searched the database a week ago.

I do know that Valley signed Stan Speech, a 6-1 Dandy Dozen combo guard from Jackson- Jim Hill and Clarence Jeffrey, a 6-2 G from Madison Central.

Is there a limit on how many people you can sign????
Nope. You're only bound by the general scholarship limits(which is 11 or 12 I think). You can probbaly sign 10 players if you have space for them.

DAHILL from what i understand the is no longer a 5/8 rule. The changed it a couple of weeks ago. I think I remember that's what allowed TSU to sign Arnold.

THANK YOU JESUSSSSSSS.... so that means Pettaway can cut whoever he wants to since scholarships are renewed each year??? Looks like we about to have a whole new team (YESSSSS). This is the best signing class in AAMU history.

3 good post men (2 are 6'8 and one is 6'9)
3 guards who ALL put up big numbers... (just found out about another one today).

That's the type of comment that gets you on our list to be beaten by 40 or 50 points. We don't allow anyone to question us in any sport. Football isn't the only sport in which we beat down lesser opponents. Ask JSU what it feels like to play a fired-up Bulldog team. But you should have some memory of that yourself, given the fact that we beat the Hornets regularly before Spivery got there.

We are The Basketball School. Always understand that.

ummmm Oracle,
You do know that I'm from ASU, right? The same ASU that has OWNED you ever since you entered the SWAC. The same ASU that has swept season series from you. The same ASU that has whooped you in your only 2 appearances in the SWAC bball tournament. The same ASU that just beat you in Bham for the championship.

so, are you saying that A&M wasn't fired up to play in a championship game, against your in-state rival?
:smh:

Sorry, but I don't think ASU is the team you really mean to be talking noise to.

Those guys look alright. The kid from Atlanta-Westlake (school?) looks like he can be pretty good by the time he leaves A&M. One thing this conference could use is some good post players.

The rest of the SWAC signees I don't know much about. I saw where SU brought in a handful of JUCO's. I don't even think Alcorn has released their signees, if they have any, yet.

Between JSU, A&M and Valley putting together some impressive classes the rest of the SWAC would just have to be piss poor for us to be in the I-A cellar again for the next few years.

Norris Arnold from Westlake is the lowest rated player we signed....the three players from Georgia are all ranked in the top 25 players in the state.

Georgia high school basketball signees

the two JUCO players were first team all state in Alabama. One led the state JUCO in scoring this year, the other one was the MVP off the state JUCO all star game. They both played for Shelton State in Tuscaloosa...

And Marcus Jones was the Hville player of the year and was being recruited by University of Alabama after averating 20 points, 6 assist, 8 steals and 4 rebounds a game his junior year.

WE just need all of them to stay... the last 2 top rated players we signed never played a game at AAMU.

JSU's 2003-04 basketball signing class:

Catraiva Givens, 5-8, PG, Little Rock (Ark.) Central
Hernol Hall, 6-10, C, Costa Rica
Edwin Jarrow, 6-6, G, Johnson High, Savannah
Charles McGee, 6-5, F, Lanier
Greg Sanders, 6-0, PG, Johnson High, Savannah
Rodrick Smith, 6-8, F, Holmes CC
Hilton Tompkins, 6-8, F, Holmes CC
Charlie White, 5-10, PG, Provine

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><!--end toid table-->Jackson State's signing of Provine standout point guard Charlie White earlier this week was a major coup.

Not only will White ? a consensus top 75 player nationally who was considered one of the top 12 point guards in the country by one recruiting service ? help the Tigers win games, he should also bring in more fans and generate more interest in the program.

As good as JSU coach Tevester Anderson expects White to be ? and make no mistake he expects him to be very good ? he reeled in two more players this week he thinks will also make a major impact on his program. One, Catraiva Givens, a 5-foot-8 point guard from Little Rock (Ark.) Central, is the shortest player in this year's eight-man recruiting class. The other, Hernol Hall, a 6-10 center from Costa Rica, is the tallest.

Givens, who has drawn comparisons to former Ole Miss standout Jason Harrison, averaged 20.3 points, 6.5 assists, 2.3 steals and only 1.1 turnovers per game this past season. He had a season-high of 33 points.

I hope you have enjoyed these few years of success against us. Of course, you know that ASU can't keep it up. I'm giving you official notification that this little run, as unnatural as it was, will come to an end this basketball season. If ASU is so lucky as to be in the championship game the next couple of years, our tournament records will be drawn even.

Not as fired-up as we will be when they find out that you questioned our pedigree for obtaining great basketball recruiting classes, or as a Basketball School. We will remind you of this before your next trip to Elmore.

P.S. If DaHill says our recruits are among the top players out of Georgia, then they are top players. We don't need to show any proof of that.

ummmm Oracle,
heard it all before
in one ear, out the other

btw, The A&M posts about bball are VERY, VERY similar to JSU's posts about football.

Think about it!

Always talking big in the off season/preseason and then the season starts and ...:retard:

carry on

I guess you had no comment on your "mistake" you made... its all good... yes I have bragged on our past recruiting classes because we had BIG TIME players on them... sad to say they never played one quarter at AAMU because they were lured away by AAU coaches to other schools... So I will say IF all the players that have acutally signed play we will be back.
