What do you expect from your school this season?

Simply put what are your expectations for your team this year in the SWAC?

Valley

1. I expect our defense to be more athletic but take a step back ranking-wise until all the new pieces get acclimated to the scheme.

2. I expect us offensively to be more potent than at any other point since Coach Morgan has been there. There are a lot of weapons returning and coming in.

3. I expect 6 to 8 wins this year.
 



Lol everybody will expect there team to be good and this thread will turn into a pissing contest like the rest of the topics.
 
In all seriousness, I really do expect to go back and win it. Just like we had to adjust from casey to c-moore, we will def miss rico but I expect guys to pick up the slack. Our RB corp is still strong and our defense needs to fill one more spot and we are set to go. I really believe our special teams will be awesome. We have some ballhawks that can tackle as well as some guys that can take it all the way for a homerun, Im anxious to see aussy.
 
I think we need to wait about two weeks to really get a good gauge. At JSU, we return a lot of experience. Even tho we lost our D-linemen we have Hogan and Terrell who should be able to step right in. I think our first string is pretty much set and that's all you can ask for coming into a season. We are WAY ahead of where we were this time last year. All I know is that our first three games will tell us a lot vs Tulane, TNState (who I KNOW is loading up on talent), and AlaState (who will come to Jackson with their season on the line).

But right now, if I had to say what I expect.. I expect nothing less than an 8-3 season.

Why do you think your offense will be potent?
 
To play flawless football. If they don't, I'm going to complain about the coaches, AD, the band, the SWAC and Duer Sharpe on message boards, Facebook Twitter and blogs in ALL CAPS!!!

so, in week 1 of conference play, does that also mean when ASU comes to Jackson, yall season is on the line too?

as for expectations, I expect a better defense, potent offense, solid special teams, in short, a title.

This is funny coming from me (as a former WR) I would like to see our run game improve drastically. That said, I'm looking for our O Line to be on point. Disciplined. Etc.

Looking for different looks from our offense as well.

Not really because you all seem to need a JSU win to get to Bham..I mean HOUSTON.. because you are prone to lose to other teams. You don't even have a QB in place, yet you EXPECT a potent offense? Kaiss is not the potent offense kind of guy. When he was at TNState and Hampton, he liked to grind it out.

So you lost half of your starters yet you expect a better defense from a worse DC than you had and a potent offense? Ok.. got it.

No response to that bunch of bull you posted. Typical. :smh: I know ya'll brought in a boatload of transfers to get you over the JSU hump but JSU has been breeding our own studs for the last 2-3 years. We are almost back to the reload rather than rebuild stage.
