Simple as this... you can't tell folks where to spend their money. And I know there are scores of folk from New Orleans who have contributed to Haiti. As stated, the technology of having $5/$10 dollars added to your phone bill went a long way in making it easy to contribute.

I heard a statement from a person who lives in N.O., and he mentioned some of the same things you are about the corruption and poor leadership that has run rampant in that region which has slowed the rebuilding efforts.

How many times has Weezy called out Nagin and those other incompetent Negroes in N.O.? Now this cat all of a sudden want to bring up N.O. after the devastation in Haiti. Billions paid for insurance claims??? Yeah they giv you $30,000 for your destroyed house then tell you you can't rebuild in the same place, but you can't go anyplace else and buy one room with $30K.

Not to mention you are charged for the demolition of your destroyed property.
