Without Adrian Peterson Minnesota would not have been close to a playoff spot.

Like I said before name a team that is better defensively and offensively than either team. There are 3 phases to football and named those two. I guess you just wanted to find a way to throw the Bears in there. But since you did mention the Giants, they are basically in the same boat as the Vikings and will go as far as their QB takes them.

Pride is a mofo...:smh:
That last sentence is comical...:lmao:
How are they in the same boat as the Vikings when it comes to the QB? Please answer that question...

Eli Manning is light years ahead of that guy. He even got a damn MVP :retard: Their defense shut down three Top Tier QBs in the league in the postseason.

I want T Jack to do well but let's not compare that guy to Big Ben, Eli, and Romo right now. Heck, Derek Anderson is even better than him.

As much as I like Da Bears, I don't expect a lot from them this year. Angelo and Lovie need to wake up and pick up Culpepper so the city can at least have a glimmer of hope to see a consistent offense.

Did you see Saturday's game against the Seahawks? The offensive line nearly got the QBs killed. Dante Culpepper is coming off a knee injury, and I don't think he wants to join a team with a bad offensive line, a rookie running back and no threat at WR.

Can you explain why did Giant fans want to get rid of him during the season? Up until the playoffs last year, Manning wasn't doing isht. Now that he's won a Super Bowl, you want to consider him great?

For one...Manning lead his team to the playoffs for the last three seasons. New York has high expectations and T Jack is lucky to deal with a small media market. Therefore, fans and media will blow things out of proportion. It's NEW YORK of all places...

Did you even look at Eli Mannings stats when it comes to playing in a two minute offense? The Super Bowl wasn't even the only time he had to lead his team to victory. Please do your research before even comparing the two QBs. BTW please state where I said he is great...You adding stuff that I didn't even state in my post. I don't consider him great but he's LIGHT YEARS ahead of T Jack right NOW. Deal with it...

He is still better than them with a shot knee.

Negro, who made you John Madden????? Manning has been in the Top 5 of QBs who's constantly inconsistent

Ok...Dude. You starting to act like JayRob. No matter how you look at it he's better than him...:spin: Get over it.

Answer this question. Who will have a better year? Come on. Tell me. Man up. Come on. Be real. Don't give me that we will see during the season answer either.

Man I'm the biggest Eli Manning hater in the world and I can't even say that T. Jack is better or even as good as Eli.........Let's just see how T. Jack does this year before we go overboard.

Dude, dont insult me like that with the JayRob comparsion:smh: Please show me where I said T-Jack was better than Manning????? All I said was that both the Vikings and Giants are in the same position when it comes to inconsistent QB play.

Only bad game Eli had last year was against the Vikings and that was it. He was even better without Shockey being in his ear. How are you going to compare a QB that hasn't played in the post season with a QB that already been there three seasons straight and then played in the Super Bowl? Not only played in it but won it and got the MVP. Then pull the inconsistent card...

I hate to say this, but I talked w/ AP's dad and he said he was told by Steve Young and Emmit Smith that he won't realize how good his son is until the Vikings get him a QB. In fact, he said Steve Young said HE could come out of retirement and shine as the Vikings QB with AP in the backfield.

Now, in no way did he ever say that T Jack isn't good, or that T Jack is bad. I didn't force it out of his mouth either, but you could easily see the look on his face that T Jack right now isn't the answer. I wish T Jack all the luck in the world!

AP has two younger sisters who play bball in our organization.

That's real. With a consistent QB just imagine how dangerous AP would be. :smh:

Don't be so quick to dump on T. Jackson. One of Minnesottas biggest problems the last few years has been at the WR position as well. I would like to see Steve Young run for his life with those WRs Minnesota had.

I love all these assumptions outside of Minnesota of what the real issue is. The problem aint TJack alone. One of the problems is Childress and the OC Bevell who are not the smartest folks to be tutoring TJ. Folks here are not Childress fans. He is too conservative/hardheaded/arrogant and doesn't know how to call plays( it was a reason Andy Reid didn't let him call plays and then soon as he left for Minnesota, Reid let his new OC call plays).

TJ was not a West Coast offense QB coming out of college. So his learning curve coming into that type of dink and dunk offense Childress was trying to run is tough. Even in Green Bay......Favre was allowed to go deep in that offense to utilize his arm strength since he was not an accurate Qb. He was not utilized like SF did Joe Montana and Steve Young because Holmgren knew Favre wasn't that type of West Coast Qb. Even Donovan McNabb is not used like Childress tried to do with Jackson. I think folks here understand that Childress is learning on the fly as well. Childress is finally figuring that out that TJ needs to throw down the field with that play action and roll out stuff. He is going to make young QB mistakes. He hasn't had the luxury of sitting and watching like Steve McNair did in Houston/Tenn. Even Tom Brady got to sit and watch a couple of years behind Bledsoe. Not to mention he had better coaches than TJ has now.

Also none of the other young QBs are looking like anything. JP Losman lost his job in Buffalo to Trent Edwards who is so-so himself. Jay Cutler and Shanahan are on the hot seat in Denver.........Vince Young still looks like crap to me with that ugly arse throwing motion. Alex Smith the former number 1 has lost his job to JT O'Sullivan:retard:, he looked good for the one year Norv Turner was there as the OC. David Carr is about to be cut in NY at the end of pre-season. I mean the list goes on. Folks ride TJack like he is just horrible. 9 TDs and 12 ints aint isht compared to Vince Young's 19 ints. The only reason Young looks better is because he is a better runner. He aint won isht with his arm. And like someone said, the Giant fans were about to hand Eli to wolves in NY if they had not won in the playoffs. That's not saying Eli is not better than TJ. But basically saying folks expect to damn much to damn fast from these young Qbs. Big Ben was just lucky he came into a system in Pittsburgh (basically a playoff team already). But I think his success of winning a SB so early in his career put pressure on all the other young Qbs that have come into the league with him and after him. I am a diehard Steeler fan and he is just now becoming a good NFL Qb. Last season was his break out season. The Steelers won because Cowher and his staff didn't put him in a bad situation. TJ would have done okay with a staff like that as well. Sometimes it isn't always the player. He has to have good coaching to develop. Folks seem to forget that fact. Trust me on this. TJ could have a great season in Minnesota this year and let the Vikes not make the playoffs......Childress is going to be run.

Give this kid a chance to play before folks start labeling him. Heck even Peyton Manning struggled his first 2 years and he had Marvin Harrison. Good Luck TJ and shake these haters off.

I can't speak for other people, but I'm not hating on Jackson. I just find it hard believe that Minnesota is all of a sudden a Super Bowl contender when Jackson still has a lot to prove.

JR, I am not in the Twin Cities but wondered if the west coast offense was for Jackson. I sure did not think it was for Michael Vick. I guess what some of these highly paid coaches do not realize is that a coach must coach to his talent or what the players can or cannot do. I sure would hate to see Jamarcus Russell in that offense. If Jackson can throw downfield, then they need to let him do that.

In San Francisco Montana and Young were on occasion allowed to throw deep. I did not see much of that in Minnesota last year.

As for some of the other quarterbacks that you mentioned, you made some good points. I wonder how many years they will have in the league. Alex Smith and JP Losman are closer to be considered a bust. Cutler and Shannahan must deliver this year. About three years ago, I said that I would take Texas A&M?s Reggie McNeal, who should have been drafted as a quarterback, over Texas? Vince Young. Well, I must say that the Longhorns won the national title with Young at quarterback while TAMU went 5-6. (Jafus kind of reminded me of that.) I say also say that Young played well in that game against USC. But what I saw during their college years was that Young would look once and run while McNeal would look for a second receiver. (One should look at the video when Texas A&M defeated Oklahoma in 2002.) Well, Young is a better passer now than he was at Texas. But he still will look for one receiver and run. He needs to get his TD totals up and his INT totals down for this season. Or else that national title game will become a distant memory. As for Eli Manning the four game winning streak to end the season took a lot of pressure off of him in New York.

Anyway, I am glad that you see what many of the TV talking heads, former players and coaches, cannot see or do not want to see. Yes, Jackson must play better. But one also needs to look at the coaching.

How many years has Jackson been starting??? I thought last year was his first full season as starter. It amazes me how everybody expects him to get so good so fast.

Yep then he only started 12 games last year. He just needs time and he will be good.
