who checks it out? I'm not much a video person (at least BET crushed that), but if you like music video's, and don't want to stay up past midnight to watch Midnight Love on BET, then this is definitely the station for you.
They show all genre's of black music, and up to date video's as well as old school. The other night I saw the "Dial My Heart" video by The Boyz, . I jumped off the couch, and reverted back to my mid teen-age years.
They've shown everything from vintage Big Daddy Kane, Heavy D & The Boyz, Guy, Public Enemy, 2 Live Crew, The Deal, Silk, Troop, MC Lyte, MC Hammer, Jade, Jodi Whatley, Wrecks N Effect, Timex Social Club, En Vogue, to Arrested Development, Amel Lerrieux, TLC, Keith Sweat, and Al B. Sure. If you liked it, they show it, and not just one video from 1998 that 106th & Park tries to pawn off as da Old School Joint Of The Day either.
Soul has slowly become one of my favorite cabel channels, and is slowly creeping up on most watched, because outside of video's they show the artist in live club settings. Whether it's a VH1 show, or just a show they taped.
Last week they showed live concerts of Floetry, Martin Luther, Lyfe, and Lela James.
If you have digital cabel, you should defintely check it out, if you're not watching it already.
NICE
