Wide-spread certification issues dating back nearly a decade have the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in big trouble with the NCAA. The NCAA released its infraction report on Tuesday, stemming from certification issues that were originally discovered in 2011.

A six-person panel has recommended that UAPB be put on probation for five years, and receive a one-year ban in four sports: football, men's and women's basketball and baseball.

The 25 page report covers issues from 2007-2012 when 124 athletes participate or practiced in athletics while ineligible. If UAPB doesn't appeal, it will vacate all wins during that period
 
I read this and i was like, "oh well, who cares? This is expected from every SWAC school except JSU." Then I thought.. WAYMENT! :smh:

All of these schools keep cheating to beat JSU.... BAMA State's cheating got Hughes fired... then TxSo, Southern and UAPB cheating done got po Comegy fired. Ain't this some bull.. they say the good guys always finish last.
 



Now here is a surprise....Nope...I told ya'll about what was going to happen this time last year when I name a few schools along with Southern that was about to be hammered oh well carry on!
 
Since the report came out from NCAA yesterday, I'm guessing (hoping......praying) that we're researching & investigating so we can confront this & have some evidence to disprove this.

This is not just embarrassing; it makes all the work we're putting in with imaging & re-imaging & rebuilding & recruiting (academically & athletically) seem in vain. If this is true, I am so disappointed with my UAPB. And especially at a time like this.........just killed my mood.
 
But folks can laugh at others but refuse to look at the skeletons and garbage in their own closet. Very interesting indeed.

Just got off the phone with an alumni that told me the exact same thing. But it doesn't change the fact that incompetence when it comes to something as important as NCAA has gone on for too long. And I can't understand why no one at my school does anything about it.

To be honest, we had no compliance staff. It consisted of I think 2 people. When Hardy came in from Hampton, instead of hiring a staff, he instead hired his best friend, Nate Kilbert to coach our women's basketball team......and then turned around & hired Kilbert's wife, Alyse Wells-Kilbert as his assistant AD.

I always thought any AD with sense would first hire competent, knowledgeable people who are familiar with NCAA rules & regulations. He was hired in 2011.......and just hired a compliance staff late this summer!

I keep telling y'all our HBCU's simply don't take sports serious enough. Not to mention the part our overwhelmingly underfunded schools play to make things worse.
 



Our schools don't invest in the REQUIRED neccesities. Hell when it comes to athletics your compliance staff should be the best and highly compensated.

Nope .. that is what ya'll get... You then-President voted against JSU as if yo schitt didn't stank. Oh well. Sorry for your mood tho .. :snicker: Now give that championship back that you all had to cheat to win and send po Comegy an apology letter.

Our schools are all relatively BROKE mam... You can't hire good people when you only offer peanuts and you don't have the right equipment and properly trained people. Larger schools have 50-100 people in their athletic departments. HBCUs are lucky to have 10.
