The real question is why doesn't the commish put in a compliance department in his office to oversee the entire conference and make sure our schools have effective compliance departments in place. That should be a requirement to participate. One or two people cannot do this job these days.

Why do HBCU's hire such incompetent compliance directors?

Bacuase Duer Sharpe is lazy as fukc!

I agree with you AND we have yet to grasp how athletics can boost enrollment for our schools. Athletics can be a great tool across the board for our schools.

I keep telling y'all our HBCU's simply don't take sports serious enough. Not to mention the part our overwhelmingly underfunded schools play to make things worse.

What's even more insane, the evidence stares them right in the face. Any time either of our schools have had a winning season, enrollment goes up by at least 5%.

I think they do.... and I also think they ask for a compliance officer from each school to serve on a task force.

I've said for at least 3 years now that the NCAA should have regional compliance offices.

Where there are multiple NCAA athletic programs in one area (say Houston for example with us, UH, PVU, Rice, HBU, Lamar, SHSU, etc...) that a salary formula is created whereas each school pays the NCAA to fund FTEs (Full Time Employees) to be centrally located to run each school from a compliance standpoint. That way, it's no incompetence or bad interpretations of the NCAA rules and regulations.

In Baton Rouge/New Orleans region would be (SU, LSU, SELU, Tulane, Nichols State, UL-Lafayette, etc...)

Is this true? Wow! Saw this on another page.

http://www.hbcugameday.com/2014/11/ncaa-uapb-allowed-over-100-ineligible.html

Wide-spread certification issues dating back nearly a decade have the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in big trouble with the NCAA. The NCAA released its infraction report on Tuesday, stemming from certification issues that were originally discovered in 2011.

A six-person panel has recommended that UAPB be put on probation for five years, and receive a one-year ban in four sports: football, men's and women's basketball and baseball.

The 25 page report covers issues from 2007-2012 when 124 athletes participate or practiced in athletics while ineligible. If UAPB doesn't appeal, it will vacate all wins during that period

Soooo PB had ineligible players play in the 2012 championship game?! Hmmm....

Nope .. that is what ya'll get... You then-President voted against JSU as if yo schitt didn't stank. Oh well. Sorry for your mood tho .. :snicker: Now give that championship back that you all had to cheat to win and send po Comegy an apology letter.

You've said in the past that you don't pay attention to my posts; if you did read them, you'd know I'm the first to admit wrong & accept the consequences. I'm not whining over this nor am I blaming others for our discretions and inaccuracies. Even when stuff went down in 2011, I disagreed with staggering suspensions & adamantly voiced this to our Alumni Chapter & our athletic department. Any wrong on our part will be met with the appropriate NCAA penalties and we will keep moving forward.

Now, regarding "po Comegy"........you didn't express all this sorrow or concern when YOUR alma mater fired him after the last SCG. If UAPB had anything to do with Comegy getting fired (which we did not), it would have happened right after OT in December 2012. Please don't associate my school with the decision YOUR school made.

And finally, about that 2012 Championship, I'll let the NCAA answer that:

UAPB's 2012 SWAC Football championship will not be vacated because it was clinched during the 2012-2013 school year.

Any complaints about that need to be addressed to the NCAA.

This "infraction" kinda trips me out:

During the 2009-10 academic year, the women's basketball program exceeded its annual limit of 15 in total number of counters by one. Specifically, a women's basketball student-athlete, who was not awarded athletically related aid, received one book from the athletics department book inventory room, resulting in an athletics award being provided to 16 student-athletes.

ONE BOOK.

That's because I didn't know ya'll had cheated po Comegy.

The sad part is, you are actually at a lost to why jsu get so much grief from EVERY school.

I read this and i was like, "oh well, who cares? This is expected from every SWAC school except JSU." Then I thought.. WAYMENT! :smh:

All of these schools keep cheating to beat JSU.... BAMA State's cheating got Hughes fired... then TxSo, Southern and UAPB cheating done got po Comegy fired. Ain't this some bull.. they say the good guys always finish last.

TP this is pathetic even for you.

This is the exact reason why JSU gets so much shit from others. This thread isn't about JSU. It's about UAPB, but once again, JSU peeps are trying to make it about JSU. They are attention whores. Not all, but some. Then they bitch and complain about how many threads people start about them, but in this thread that's supposed to be about UAPB, they try to make it about JSU. This is sad and pathetic. :shame: :smh:
