Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?

I met him when he came through Atlanta airport a couple of weeks ago. He's just as drop-dead gorgeous and friendly in person as he was in that movie!

I think I'm obsessed with him. I remember when he first started on As The World Turns. Iw asn't watching much then, but I remember a fine brotha had joined the cast. Then I lost track of him until I saw him on Half and Half. He is so s e x y !!!! woooo-wee!!

ok getting back to the movie...as someone said it was great to see black folks in a professional light. From a techinical standpoint there were a few awkward moments or pauses in conversation or camera direction, but otherwise still a good job. Good location and sets, especially the houses. I found myself really checking out the decorating styles and artwork in each house. I think as he continues to grow his direction and sets and everything will be more elaborate. But the fact he can do a great movie without being so 'hollywood' is great.

And i agree...watching Tyler try to get some, was um, unfortable. It just didn't seem right. And a couple of times I wanted to laugh because he sounded like Madea in a few lines!

That girl Trina is from Louisiana.

I think what made this movie good is that we all can relate to it some how because we know some people just like those characters. I like how he showed that marriage is going to have some rough times, but only those who try to survive it will make it. You can't run because it gets tough. We can relate better seeing our own go thru this, than we can seeing Biff and Becky!!

Cee, I guess I missed that part because of US talking during the movie! Damn, I will have to buy the DVD when it comes out to hear and see the movie in it's entirety
Well, Boo, you'll just have to spend $8 more dollars and check it out again! :p

GREAT movie! Laughed AND cried. I don?t wanna give it away for those who haven?t seen it yet. But that Angela was sho nuff saying what we were all thinking! How many times did she say HELL NAW! Woo, hilarious stuff! And Jill was excellent. Something about her eyes the way she can play pity, good stuff. Like everyone else, watching Janet was uncomfortable because I?m just not used to her saying much and when she does it?s so soft and barely above a whisper. She kinda sounds like she?s always whining. But overall good job. I actually like her with her hair pulled back, though.

I AM IN LOVE WITH SHERRIF TROY!
Everytime Angela opened her mouth I was like, "Okay NOW da truf is 'bout to roll out." Old girl tried to keep it tight, but she just couldn't believe the audacity of ol' boy..... and move ova because I AM IN TOTAL LOVE WITH SHERIFF TROY!!!   I also liked when Janet finally CRACKED and opened up..... so many need to CRACK.

Tasha's hair was slamming.

I agree. However, it's the how and when they crack that makes me have both eyes open wide at all times.

From a guy point of view!

The movie was awesome. TP did a damn good job on this one.

Is Angela the chick from Boyz in the Hood?

Janet looked so damn good...........Lord Jesus.

I also like how TP showed bothsides of the out come of marriage. It's good to see bothsides. Yes you can make it thru the hard times of relationships if you truley love each other, and yes you will feel stupid when you give up your relationship for that fake grass on the other side. 80/20 is the real deal.

The race isn't given to the swifth nor the strong but to the one who endures to the end...

Cee, you know Michael Baisden dun already had a show about this very topic, right?

Saw the movie last night, glad I didn't go this weekend, because if the audience was like that on a Wed, I know how they were this weekend. All in all, great movie, definitely TP's best movie, and like a lot of the comments very realistic, and a great showing of both sides of marriage.

Mike, Richard T. Jones' character couldn't have been one of my friends, because one of us would've phugged him up. It's one thing for dude to treat his wife like trash (that's their bid'ness), but when you disrepect the house, our friendship, and our wives, he would've had some serious problems with any one of us, especially when he started kicking out secrets, because he was sloppy in how he handled his marriage/relationship.

Dude was foul, and his arse got me into trouble....LOL....., because after a while I started laughing at some of the stuff he said to Sheila, and the women sitting around us were p'd off because they couldn't find the humor in it......Cold, but very funny....LOL

NICE

OMgoodness. I have been searching for the perfect layered haircut. And I have FINALLY found it. Mine will be maybe 1 or 2 inches longer....but I WILL have that haircut. I may have to go a white stylist cause umm here in Strop City, the cut technicians are limited...

But the movie was great!! And Sheriff Troy is soooo hot

This movie was easily Tyler Perry's best work. I laughed so hard. This movie had some of everything. That 80/20 rule is right on point.

Trina: You belong in the kitchen.

Angela: And you belong on a corner. Need a pimp?

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I think Terrence Howard could have been a more sinister "Mike" in the movie...although ol' boy pulled it off even though he was more comical.

 just picturing Terrence in that role. Too many things come to mind.

 I really enjoyed it. Although I will have to see it again to hear what was said while I was laughing so hard.

Man, that's the first thing I noticed for her, her hair was slammin! Reminds me of Silentrage's hair cut.

Was I the only one that tripped out at the end of the movie when TP said he had ole girl preggo with twins, and the wife sucked it up and said she would work through it. That was alot to swallow even if it was a joke! I started looking at TP differently in the movie after that line......lol

O, and for the record, I have never laughed out loud in a movie EVER!

Ok saw it again and still LOL all throughout. That 80/20 is something deep. I can agree with it. Seeing it this time I noted how far into the movie the rule is first mentioned. The set up for it was just superb. Tyler really did some great writing for this one.

Why are we the only people that see nothing wrong with taking a newborn to the theater, letting our kids play in the front of the screen the whole movie like they're at a playground, and refuse to silence our cellphones? :xeye:

I caught this on bootleg this weekend, and I must admit, it was funny as all get out! Mike and Angela steal the show IMO....

This is the first time I have ever watched a Tyler Perry production... And although I found alot of siutations predictable I had a ball laughing at Mike and Angela... I did think Perry went overboard with the Mike character...

And why does Tyler Perry look so uncomfortable in bed with a woman??
