It's simple people...

We got out manned, out played and out coached. We were simply over our head in this matchup of a team coming off a huge victory against Texas A&M (Big XII) squad on the road.

Exactly. They beat Texas A&M (a probable bowl team in a BCS Conference) at Texas A&M. This aint your daddy's Sun Belt conferemce... Troy, FAU and MTSU take on anyone anywhere... MTSU beat Maryland yesterday so that lets you know of how improved that conference is...


83-10 is embarassing... but the more embarassing loss to me was UAPB getting shut out by the Reddies 34-0 ....

That maybe true, but the teams still played before then... even then, when North Texas was winning all those SBC championships initially, they were still gettin drilled... hell they were 5-6 one year and won the SBC... lol


Sun Belt Conference then: annual D-I HC opponents for the Big 12 and SEC schools... even the best teams where gettin hammered.


Sun Belt Conference now: MTSU beating Maryland... ASU beating Texas A&M...


If these teams are beating BCS conference teams (excluding Duke lol), how can we expect to beat them?
 
This is why Johnny original schedule was easier. It will let you know if you have players that you can build a program with.

Panthro thanks for your realism, some of your cohorts have short memories.

Junior Osborne has a lot of heart. We need more players from EAST TEXAS.

when a pro coach comes down to college...the coach has to dumb down alot of things in terms of terminology and history says the 1st year and the 1st game is not the best time to judge them....you see A&M almost lost to New Mexico last week too....outside of Pete Carroll, the pro coach coming down to college is a bad experiment....look at Wandstadt, Weis, Gailey, etc., etc.

Both teams are D-1 and field 85 scholarships so the playing field is even in terms of numbers....outside of talent at alot of spots, it's not hard to justify why Texas A&M, which has struggled at times against 1-AAs, lost.

I agree. I actually have family with degrees from both TSU and PVU. Imagine the talks we have had in the last 48hrs. :dizzy: Surprisingly, the PV Alums in the family say it will get better. :swink:

Surprisingly? :confused: If they were around when Bama St blasted us 92-0 and Gram hit 84-7... they should be just as humble as the rest of us and like sTu is right now. It's part of the process <b>for us</b> IMO. First year coach, totally new players-systems, competition around Tx, etc. Too many intangibles.
