What do you say after a loss like this - We lost to a much better team tonight?

This will be the longest/quietest bus ride or plane ride back to Texas.
 
Man how can they do this to me on my B day. I come home from a great B-day dinner with friends to this spit. Damn, Cole better get busy coaching. I know he has little to work with so I am trying to take it in stride but this is :retard:
 
You ask yourself whether the games Johnny Cole and C-Leb circled as "morale boosts" when putting together the schedule will actually turn out to be victories...

Shaw (in Sacramento) - Sept 13
Texas College (in Tyler, Texas) - Sept 20
Concordia (Delmar Stadium) - Sept 27

You got to figure since Valley and PV took Texas College to the shed, that's a win, but it is a road game...Concordia will be tough -- they did beat Bethel (Tenn)...not sure what Shaw brings to the table, but that's a long plane flight...

You got personnel questions to ask...what's up with the QB? Is Bobby Reid still the starter? And what's the deal with the transfers? Can they get eligible anytime this season? Your not out of the SWAC race yet...
 
Administration has invested in athletic dept. we must now be supportive and modest in expectations and give the current athletic leadership a realistic time line to improve the programs. I just want to see some wins to keep moral at a descent level for the players. This team is so young majority freshmen, they have to keep thier heads up. Can't allow them to get that loosing mind frame.

ASU ended up averaging 12.4 yards per play over 54 plays compared to TSU who had 3.18 yards per play over 70 plays...

TSU punted seven times to ASU's one...

ASU only had FOUR third down conversion attempts the whole game!

441 yards rushing on 44 carries meaning they were getting first downs each time they touched the ball on the ground...

Bobby Reid was 3 of 12 for 53 yards and two INTs.

ASU's coach said the guy who ran for over 200 yards has been showing that ability that they have seen every day playing on the scout team...
 
We were watching the Florida game on tv when that score flashed across the bottom of the screen. Im basically the only one that speaks positively of HBCU football out of the folks I know but even I couldnt defend that one.

Yeah, we're VERY afraid of a team that gets blasted for the second week in a row.:smh:
 
Hang in there sTu. We @ PV understand this entire process and being down, it separated a lot of truth from fiction for us. We had a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to understand things and trust me, it will get better and it will NOT happen overnight, so to speak.

I talk a lot of sh it gameweek and prior to gameweek but there's nothing to gain kicking a squad when they're down (or rebuilding in your case). I'm still sour from the 92-0 drubbing we received in '91 and the 84-7 deal in '91 as well. :|

I'm interested to see (hear) what Chuck has to say went down during the game since he played against sTu last night. I'll send him an e-mail shortly. :(
