The view of taking the vaccine or not taking it

I know some people who say they won't take the vaccine because they don't know what's in it. I understand that. But let a new recreational drug hit the streets and they are the first in line.

I have some relatives who will not take the vaccine because they don't know what's in it. And that's fine. But they will pop a Viagra pill in a New York minute.

Look, people have the right to not take the vaccine if you choose not to. But keep in mind, if your action or lack thereof effects me, then your rights end where my rights begin.

How is someone doing what's best for them taking your rights? The problem is many believe the vaccine is a life saver. It may or may not. Know one knows yet. So far it is only known to last six months. So then you gotta take a booster shot. Then probably another. So just shots on top of shots. Besides the same white folks taking the shots were at church gatherings today with 200-300 people. Who rights are they fringing upon?

My white neighbor ls took the shot. Today they are having a holiday cookout. It's at least 50 people. That's who y'all better worry about.

Like I said I'm not a anti vaccine person. I support those getting it and those who don't. My thing is all these black folks saying folks who ain't taking it going to die. Black folks love playing God. My sister and I was just talking about this last night. We got a cousin named Lil Joe. Lil Joe been smoking crack, drinking hard liquor and beer since I was a child. All you heard was Lil Joe gonna be dead. He ain't going to live long with his lifestyle. Well She saw Lil Joe pushing a grocery buggy down Cleveland Avenue last week. High as hell. Lil Joe is 79 still kicking it and most of those folks who said he was going to be dead in the grave yard or barely hanging on. You can't predict when folks going to die. Every person has a date and a time. Only one person knows that. She said all my kinfolks talking about I wonder why Lil Joe ain't caught Covid-19. Well it's because God don't want him to die like that probably. Just saying.

Doctors are worried that coronavirus may end up being like influenza, which requires a new vaccine every year both because the circulating strains mutate fast and because immunity from the vaccine wears off quickly.

Man, see what CEE wrote? That's what I was getting at, you posted a GIF at a legitimate question. I wasn't trying to blast you, I genuinely wanted to know, what rights were you personally speaking of?
But since you sent that direction, here's my thing, your comment sounded like those for and against the mask mandates.
Same arguments, right to freedom and right to live, to list two of those arguments, but they're on oppsite sides.

Survival is supposed to be a shared burden. But between the lack of consistent and collective response of elected officials and the pursuit of individualism by the public, we’re likely going to be stuck in this cycle of needing booster shots, mask wearing and distancing for awhile just to stave off rapid infections and deaths.

Even people choosing not to get vaccinated, I get the sense that a lot of people think the pandemic— at least in the U.S. — is over.

Folks have a right to take it or not....my thing is I have the right not to allow you in my home if you have not taken it. Also I have the right to tell you to wear a mask in my home if you have taken it. That's the only place. I have the right to say that. My job does not allow people in. There are people who simply don't care.

Vitamin D: The truth about an alleged Covid ‘cover-up’

As Covid-19 swept the world, so did misinformation about how to treat it. But sometimes misinformation can develop even around ideas that have some truth to them - and that can be the most difficult kind to tackle.

Why vitamin D?

There are many treatments that have been suggested for Covid-19.
Hydroxychloroquine, Ivermectin and vitamin D - all are, or were, being studied. Suggesting that a treatment could be effective and then finding it isn't upon further research is all part of the normal scientific process.
But online, early or low quality research can be shared out of context. And the confusion this creates can be exploited by people promoting conspiracy theories.
There is some logic behind why vitamin D might be useful in treating or preventing Covid.
It plays a role in immunity and it's already recommended that everyone in the UK take the supplement in the winter, with those at higher risk of vitamin D deficiency advised to take it all year round. So far, no research has shown a convincing enough effect to support higher doses to prevent or treat illness - although this doesn't mean that won't change in the future.

Should I start taking vitamin D?
So it's understandable it was taken up as advice by many online. Yet some have gone much further, suggesting on Reddit forums that governments are "barely mentioning" vitamin D's effectiveness, instead focusing on "vaccines and police state tracking"; or alleging the vitamin is being ignored because the World Health Organization is in the "pay of Big Pharma".
But governments have taken up other cheap, effective treatments like dexamethasone, once proven. And vitamins themselves are a multi-million pound industry.

This is what I was speaking of.

I honestly dont care what people do. I took it, and i'm about to start being slightly sociable again with my people that have been vaccinated. Majority of my family is major religious so I already know they probably wont even though most of them are beyond high risk and already lost a sister to it. My homeboy is just now starting to walk again from the after affects of covid. At t he end of the day, if you're confident in your immune system, go for it without one. But just know that if you get it and your case isn't mild, you 100% will regret it. This man is hooked up to an oxygen machine indefinitely. If you choose not to get it i respect it. I just won't be round ya.

I pray that we "Fully" awake and stop hurting each other. Learn who we "REALLY" are.

Hold that Tigers!

This is the type of propaganda that I have a problem with. Yes you do have some stupid people who want to be ignorant like this guy and deserve to get knocked the uckf out. But you also have people who have legitimate concerns, are masking, social distancing, and washing their hands, but just don't want to be test subjects. It is unfair to lump all of them together.

The thing about not lumping them all together is that the more people who chose not to get vaccinated -- the truly concerned and the stupid -- only will prolong the pandemic and put more people at risk and make life for everybody more difficult. It would be one thing if COVID only impacted the people who were infected. But it doesn't.

Besides, we've been test subjects our lives. Every prescription, either by a doctor or over-the-counter medicine from CVS or supplement from a health store, on the market is evidence of that. This doesn't mean people can't have concerns about vaccines, but the reality is everything you put in your body over the years has carried some risk.

Millions of people around the world have been inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines and side effects from them, at least detrimental ones, have been extremely rare.

And while masking, hygiene and distancing are solid tools to help reduce the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19, those actions alone won't get us out of the pandemic or truly protect people long-term, especially since America is completely open again and there isn't complete buy-in from the public or even local and state governments to stop transmission. The majority of the world's population getting vaccinated will get us to the other side.

Until then, we just gonna stay suffering.

Initially we were told that if we quarantined for 14 days we would be ok. Far too many people refused to sit their assses down for that short period of time. Then we were told to wear masks, wash your hands frequently, and social distance when we went out. Many people refused to do that, but many did. Now we have 3 trails (2 two dose and a single dose) going on with more on the way and each hailed as the answer. I understand the idea about "just do something, just do anything" but I also understand the idea that everybody doesn't want to do that. Some people want to continue their mask wearing, social distancing, and hand washing. They may want to see how this thing plays out for a couple of months and then reevaluate whether or not they want to take one of the vaccines.

These trial have not been going on long enough to even give you the side effect information the you see on prescription medication bottles because they are learning as they go, hence "trial" or "experiment". Can't have FDA warnings yet because they are trials. Normally the trials go on before the medicines go out to the public, not using the public for the trials.

People have been getting vaccinated since December. It’s April now with millions vaccinated since then. And all the data indicates that the vaccines are overwhelmingly safe and effective.

This is misleading...Six months is based on the extended trail data. They are saying it's effective for 6 months because that's the only data they have. As they get more data, this will be reviewed, and the data may show that's effective longer.
Right. And variants circulating also are another component in the possible need for boosters.
