Mike Pence does not want plexiglass barriers around him at the vice presidential debate against Kamala Harris on Wednesday, a top aide to the vice president told CNN on Tuesday, rebuffing an announcement from the Commission on Presidential debates that the dividers would be used to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
"We have yet to hear medical evidence what the plexiglass is for," Pence's chief of staff Marc Short told CNN.

The plexiglass dividers, which were announced by the commission on Monday night, were the latest in a string of changes made to ensure the virus is not spread at the debate as the White House deals with a growing number of infections inside Donald Trump's administration.

Physical barriers like plexiglass are typically recommended when social distancing cannot be maintained. The candidates will be separated by 12 feet on stage. Masks are considered the best defense against both droplet and aerosolized transmission of the virus.

It's illegal in all 50 states to engage in militia activity. Still, militia members will almost certainly appear at some polling places this election cycle.
To prepare voters for potential voter intimidation, Georgetown University Law Center created fact sheets for all 50 states on illegal militias and what to do if voters encounter them.

A private militia engages in law enforcement activities without authorization by state or federal officials. Their members are often armed and wearing uniforms or identifying insignias, and they often believe they have legal authority to protect property or control crowds.

But no private militia has that authority. Every state bans unauthorized militias from taking on the activities of law enforcement.

Facebook said Tuesday that it is banning all QAnon accounts from its platforms, a significant escalation over its previous actions and one of the broadest rules the social media giant has put in place in its history.
Facebook said the change is an update on the policy it created in August that initially only removed accounts related to the QAnon conspiracy theory that discussed violence, which resulted in the termination of 1,500 pages, groups and profiles.

Goldman Sachs: A Democratic sweep would mean faster economic recovery

New York (CNN Business)President Donald Trump is once again warning voters that Democrats would "shut our economy and jobs down" if they win in November.
Goldman Sachs is telling its clients the exact opposite.

Just hours after Trump's all-caps Monday morning tweet predicting economic disaster, Goldman economists pointed out that polls "suggest a 'blue wave' in which Democrats gain unified control of Washington is becoming more likely" -- and they're not suggesting investors dump stocks.

In fact, "all else equal, such a blue wave would likely prompt us to upgrade our forecasts," Goldman Sachs chief economist Jan Hatzius wrote in a Monday report.

These groups are like roaches, the lights come on or you exterminate and they move somewhere else.
They used to be on a site called 4Chan then they move to 8kun(chan). They may be officailly gone from FB, but what they'll find away to get around the ban.
This removal will also feed into their narrative that the "Deep St" is against them or is trying to silence their voices (insert eye roll).

The Manhattan district attorney can obtain President Donald Trump's tax returns, a federal appeals court ruled on Wednesday, dealing the President another setback in his effort to shield his tax returns from investigators but the case is likely to head to the Supreme Court.

The 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals broadly rejected Trump's arguments that the subpoena for his records was overly broad and issued in bad faith.

They're gearing up to appeal this back to the Supreme Court.

Members of Orthodox Jewish community protest for a second night in Brooklyn over new Covid-19 restrictions

Members of New York City's Orthodox Jewish community protested for a second night in Borough Park, Brooklyn, on Wednesday in response to strict new coronavirus-related restrictions.

The area in Brooklyn is one of several places in New York where officials closed schools and limited houses of worship to a maximum of 10 people. Gov. Andrew Cuomo instituted these measures to try to stop "hot spot" clusters in Brooklyn, Queens, and several New York City suburbs from spreading further into New York.

But those restrictions were put in place just days before a major Jewish holiday and have exacerbated existing tensions between the insular Orthodox Jewish community and city leaders.
Many of Wednesday's protesters were seen not wearing masks and most were not social distancing.
