The 14th Thread about Trump and his tomfoolery

First came the comeback rally in Tulsa, which ended in total humiliation for Donald Trump as he rambled and howled before an arena that was far less than half full. Now, the Trump campaign can chalk up another humiliation, this time in Florida.

Team Trump arrived in Tampa, which is a mere 80 miles from The Villages, the largest retirement community in the United States. The New York Times recently noted the area encompassing much of The Villages is the top donor zip code for Trump, in terms of the number of contributors. You’d think those donors would’ve loaded up and gone down to meet Trump, but they must’ve had a Bridge tournament or something because as you can see from the video and images below, the crowd was sparse, to put it mildly.

WFAA-TV Dallas-Ft. Worth logoControversy erupts after 'Back the Blue Cruise' makes uninvited stop at Friendship-West Baptist Church

A controversy developed Sunday afternoon at Friendship-West Baptist Church as a "Back the Blue" group made a rest stop at the church's parking lot.

Five auto clubs and ten bike clubs were participating in the cruise Sunday, which appeared to make a stop at the church as the group took a 127-mile route across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. More than 1,000 vehicles participated in the drive, police said.

A Facebook Live from the church's page appears to show participants of the drive filling up the parking lot. In the video, a person can be heard saying the church did not approve of such a use of its parking lot.

"Friendship-West Family & Friends some of you may have been made aware of a Blue Lives Matter rally happening on our church grounds," the church also posted to its Facebook page. "Please note that this is not the church and our pastor is working to handle the matter immediately! Please be in prayer!"

Haynes said that some of the people in the Back the Blue rally were displaying Confederate flags and Trump flags.

"That ain't welcome on the campus of Friendship-West. We have a big 'Black Lives Matter' sign and our ministry and mission reflects that. You are not going to come to Oak Cliff and intimidate us," he said in a recorded video posted to the church's Twitter account.

They are MESSING with the WRONG church.

Trump wants the states to make the decision to postpone elections in their state. This would keep him in office longer. Yet, in order for the federal government to change the election date it must be initiated in the house and moved to the senate. Neither house nor senate are with that. So Trump pushes states to make the ultimate decision and he is allowing COVID19 to ravish the nation to limit people from voting. Trump has already stated if he loses he will not leave and has also been putting out how mail in ballots are falsified.

Sorry but that can't happen....

the date for a U.S. presidential election is fixed, by law, and can only be changed by law. That alone makes it almost impossible to delay a national election. Think about it: Lawmakers can't agree on anything these days. So it's highly unlikely they'll come together to put off the presidential election.

Equally important, the Constitution states a firm date that a sitting president's term must end. From the Congressional Research Service:

Under the Twentieth Amendment
, the incumbent President's term ends at noon on January 20th. There are no provisions of law permitting a President to stay in office after this date, even in the event of a national emergency, short of the ratification of a new constitutional amendment.

None of that constitution shit has worked so far in checking trump. All he needs is a faction willing to go along with whatever he's doing. I'm not putting anything past him.

(Trump is a Clown...but a dangerous Clown! They bout to play their Supreme Court RBG🙏🏾 Card!)

Pence’s harsh words for Roberts could be a preview of the Supreme Court as a 2020 issue.

Vice President Mike Pence assailed Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. on Wednesday as a “disappointment to conservatives,” criticizing him for siding with liberals in several major decisions during his Supreme Court tenure and arguing that re-electing Mr. Trump was critical to ensuring a strong conservative majority on the court.
.........
Mr. Trump has long highlighted the confirmation of his two conservative Supreme Court nominees, Justices Neil M. Gorsuch and Brett M. Kavanaugh, as among his greatest accomplishments in office — an argument that has sometimes been persuasive among Republicans weary of his tweets and temperament but eager to see a conservative-leaning judiciary.

In June, Mr. Trump celebrated the confirmation of his 200th lifetime appointment to the federal bench. “He’s already made a huge impact,” Ms. Severino said. “And that life tenure works in your favor once you get these great people on the bench.”
Mr. Trump released a list of potential Supreme Court nominees in 2016 when he was campaigning for president and has pledged to produce another such list before the election.

“He did that in 2016. He kept his word. He’s going to do that in the fall of 2020,” Mr. Pence said. “And in the next four years, he’ll keep his word and appoint more principled conservatives to our courts.”

THE SUPREME COURT AND 2020
Trump is running on the courts. Should Biden do the same?

They pushed Kennedy out to get Kavenaugh in there. They've played their hand at Roberts now to try to get him out before Cult45 gets out of office if he loses the election.
But I think this is more about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg's Health and seat on the bench that is in play here. These can say what they want about Chief Justice Roberts but he's not going anywhere. My point was that several days ago Justice Ginsberg announced that her Pancreatic Cancer has recurred and is now in her liver. She delayed making this announcement for 4 months! She was hospitalized a few weeks ago overnight for a reported "infection" but it was later admitted it was for chemotherapy. The Trump/Pence camp is circling around this issue and his opportunity to possibly place a 3rd Conservative Justice on the High Court...soon.

CNN’s Poppy Harlow Confronts Larry Kudlow With All the Times He’s Been Wrong About the Coronavirus

White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to predictions. And CNN anchor Poppy Harlow was more than ready with the receipts when he came on her show to talk about the coronavirus fallout Friday morning.

Harlow began her interview by asking Kudlow if he and President Donald Trump are “worried” about the slowdown in the recovery.

“I don’t know that there’s a slowdown. These job numbers will go up and down,” Kudlow replied. When Harlow noted that only 1.8 million jobs were added in July compared to 4.8 million in June, he said, “That is true, and it's going to be uneven as it always is.”

Kudlow continued to push the administration’s argument that a $600 weekly federal unemployment benefit has been a “disincentive” for Americans to go back to work. And when Harlow asked for evidence, he pointed to a University of Chicago study that supposedly supports that claim.

She's gonna die in offce as long as there is a republican president. She won't give them the time or day to push her out. They messing with Roberts because he's not taking the bait and doing their bidding. He's been a big surprise on some of these rulings that came down to a 5-4 vote.

Judge rules E. Jean Carroll can continue to seek Trump's DNA in defamation suit

A New York state Supreme Court judge on Thursday denied President Donald Trump's effort to delay the proceedings in a defamation lawsuit filed against him by longtime magazine columnist E. Jean Carroll, a move that allows her to pursue his DNA sample in an effort to prove claims he sexually assaulted her in the 1990s.

In her ruling, Justice Verna Saunders wrote that a recent Supreme Court decision regarding Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance's subpoena for Trump's financial records demonstrates that a state court can exercise jurisdiction over a sitting President, meaning Carroll's case against Trump should be allowed to proceed.

"This court construes the holding in Vance applicable to all state court proceedings in which a sitting President is involved, including those involving his or her unofficial/personal conduct," the judge wrote.

Lawyers for Trump didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on Saunders's ruling
