I agree win, win. The 5 star kids we will not get anyway. Other lesser recruits may fall into our lap. Other big time recruits might go away and come back on the rebound. At least know they know where TSU is.
Yeah smaller schools do that all the time. Just went to A&M Commerce camp in East Texas......division 2 school.........coaches from SEVERAL Power 5's were there from Alabama to OU, Okla State......you name it.
those P5 schools already know who they want from jump and they invite them to their elite camps for basically a tryout. All this is watching to see if there are diamonds in the rough and to get their names out. Plus it cuts down on recruiting for them.
