Tarvaris Jackson on trading block

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

It's not that uncommon for younger QBs or those on new teams to play longer in the early preseason games. Even though he's been in the league a few years, it's not like Flynn has years of regular season experience, so it's not too surprising that they would play him longer to try to build some rhythm. Seattle has virtually a brand new receiving core from a year ago. Still, I do agree that he's highly unlikely to be traded. Most teams will be willing to take the risk of waiting to see whether Seattle cuts him.
In Flynn needs to prove he is better and can be a full time starter.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

Russell Wilson will take his job by next season. Possibly this season.
I agree. Matt Flynn may hold him off only for so long.

I took shots at Miami for not going more aggressively after Flynn. Sure, Mike Sherman coached Ryan Tannehill at Texas A&M and is the Dolphins offensive coordinator. However, the Dolphins are a very bad team and need all of the help that they can get. Understand that the Miami head coach was in Green Bay last season.

Then again the Miami brain trust may have known something that many outside of the organization did not know. If Russell is soon the starter, it will say a lot. It could say a lot about what happened to him at NC State. (I would have wanted him to stay if I was a Wolfpack fan.) We will see what happens this season.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

come on man, I like Tjack as a person and I got to play against him. I spent two years defending him till I started talking to some cats in the league.... dude just aint starting QB material. He is a solid back-up though

Tweed is a Vikings fan and I don't think he has forgiven Tjack yet.

Hell the Vikings and that organization is what really set his development back....that damn Brett Farve experiment was the whole problem...before Brett got there that team was making progress...step by step...they made the playoffs and were improving every year. The ownership there was just to impatient, that's all...they had the makings of a pretty good team, they just had to give it time to develop...

Dude...the Vikings had a SuperBowl caliber team. Their only problem was TevarisJackson. After they got Favre they were on their way to the SB but the Saints cheated them out of the title.

You can only put up with this mess for so long:
qb-o.gif

How much longer did you want the Vikings to "bring him along slowly."
The guy was the joke of the NFL and he set the Vikings back years. Just look at how bad
they were last year. That was mostly due to TJack. When you miss on a QB thats drafted
so high, it sets the team back and folks get fired.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

Matt Flynn had a big night! 6 of 13 for 31 yards. no way TJack could do that!

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

There are lies, damn lies, and then there are STATS

That stat line doesnt include the fact that TO dropped a 50 yard TD that landed gently in his hands. TJack damn sure could not have made that throw.

You a pure d hater, tjack could and would have made that throw.. and that was the only drop that was on a wide out. The rest where on flynn.. if Seattle going to rely on field goals and a stiff d then tjack is clearly better

It's amazing that T Jack hasn't played a single down this preseason and the Seahawks is doing good and he's in the trading block. And his supporters are talking about he's taking snaps with the 1st string. Lol!!!!!!

TJack will be cut after Seahawks final preseason game. I don't see no team trading for this guy. It's crazy how Seahawks GM said he wasn't giving a fair shot in Minnesota and look what he doing, they brought in 2 QB's and about to cut TJack.SMH.

If TJack is better then why hasn't he played in no preseason games. I guess they saving him for week 1.

You will never get them JSU/T Jack haters to see this...

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

Didn't the Vikings make it to the NFC championship with Farve?

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

T. Jack is better than any QB, I ever saw play at Jackson State.

What was Tjack doing between 2006-2009. 3 years before Farve arrived? The team was not making progress with TJack. He was given the starting job back in 2008 only to lose it to Gus Frerotte by the 4th game of the season. Gus deserve majority of the credit for Vikings making the playoff in 2008.if Gus didnt get hurt, tJack would not have played no more that season. This is coming from a Vikings fan. TJack really had 1 good game that season (Arizona)

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

Thats not saying much, we talking about Tjack in the NFL. what he did in college dont matter now

Yes it is not saying much since there is no Jsu QB ever in the pros that has started as many games as he. I also agree his college career is inconsequential besides the fact the he has 1 SWAC championship in a mere 3 years compared to Jsu 1 championship in 15 years.
