Citing a “source with knowledge of the situation,â€￾ Pro Football Talk on Wednesday reported that the Seahawks are talking to “a couple of teamsâ€￾ about trading last year’s starting quarterback, but may wait until another team suffers a QB injury to potentially get a better deal

I knew it wont be long. He is now the 3rd string QB in Seattle. Looks like God didnt answer Get Ready Prayers.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

In the middle of the season last year, some of the Seattle execs were basically leaking to the press that Tjack was not a long term solution.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

Why do you Sippi guys love to see other SWAC players fail so much in the NFL? Seriously it is like 90% of you have a screwed up mentality when it comes to other SWAC schools succeeding.

come on man, I like Tjack as a person and I got to play against him. I spent two years defending him till I started talking to some cats in the league.... dude just aint starting QB material. He is a solid back-up though

Tweed is a Vikings fan and I don't think he has forgiven Tjack yet.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

LOL I been sitting and waiting on the Negative post about this guy, while everything else you all have ignored... He Still Runs the 1st Team, and Seattle isnt sold that Flynn can be productive, neither QB has NFL experience and the Seahawks do not want to be the Cardnals of last year and this year..
Here is another article on the situation... If you think Carroll and the seahawks are going to put all there eggs in the basket of flynn right now then I dont know what to say..
As of today TJack has looked the best in Camp,

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

The Article that is bloged is even covering it self by saying "they may wait until later to get more value".. If Flynn dont show more then what he has then he want start, last game against 1st stringers, the only passes he completed was to backs ou the backfield.. Wilson out performed Flynn

I have defended TJack so many times when he was in Minnesota. The last straw was that Giants game we played at Ford Field. After that performance. I couldnt take no more. Pop is right. he is a backup at best

Since he runs the first team, Why havent this guy started in any Pre-Season games? I assume Flynn and Wilson getting all the reps to see who will be backing up TJack.

I find it weird that Tjack is getting first team reps but havent played a game in Pre-Season. I think Pete aint playing him because he dont wont him to get injured because they wanna trade him.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

If you going to trade him, why is he getting 1st string reps? when flynn clearly needs those reps... They are not going to be the cardinals of this year and last year..

In this situation 2 things is going to happen. Seahawks is going to release him or trade him by the first game.Cant pay a 3rd string QB 4 Million.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

LOL you making it seem like were the ones writing the article's. Besides you don't see us on here clowning Robert Mathis and the rest of the SWAC players in the league.

But he is not the 3rd string QB, Read some seahawks.com articles.. you put a article up full of assumptions.. He works out with the 1st string, he is the 1st string QB for the scrimmages.. They might want to trade him but he isnt a 3rd string QB might be 2nd but not 3rd

So why he isnt starting in the preseason games. I assume tjack will start the last 2 preseason games. Tjack need the practice and game reps also.

No starter is playing more then 1 seris.. but you have to ask why is he working with the 1st Team, the Starters when he is not part of the plan for the seahawks, its wasted reps..
But the Main stream wants flynn, So thats how the articles will read, they will work there dangest to get jackson out the Door. Some coaches and GM decision comes off of Media and fan pressure to sell tickets and keep the fans..

You have a point, but if they do plan to trade him, making it blatantly obvious by not giving him any practice reps could depress whatever trade value there is for him (and my guess would be that there isn't much). It was obvious that Flynn was going to be the starter the moment he signed that contract. All they're doing now if trying to figure out is if they can trust Wilson as the backup.

they have said, that they know what jack can do, so they feel they don't need to evaluate him. so they are spending more time evaluating the other guys.

Why would you have your starter in for a entire half in a preseason game? thats to many chances for him to get hurt, especaially playing against and with players who are just trting to make the team.. I know i wouldnt risk injuring my starter like that.

Re: Tarvaris Jackson on trading block.

Not saying that Flynn is not going to be the starter, because he propbaly will. But that the article is written from a bias view with a lot of speculation..
Jackson running 1st team not going to help his tradability. I dont think many people want him, and they dang sure dont want him at 4 million.. Now if he dont play preseason game #3 and #4 then he will more then likely get cut but The Oline has improved from last year and everyone is healty.. Pete believe he can make a run again, especially in the NFC west..
To be honest, the seahawks Defense is a fool, they will be a baltimore raven type team. They just need a QB not to make mistakes.. They have the defense to win games

It amazes me how you are the biggest hater on the board and yet the biggest crybaby. YOU are the person that said you hate JSU so much that you want a bomb to go off on the campus to kill the students and the players, but you like to cry foul when it comes back to you. Thats not the way its suppose to work Cee.

JSU posted a thread about having two Olympians and you guessed it, the board came in and said, "nope we cant support him." For whatever reason, thats their right.

Now this thread is about TJack...guess what, we dont have to like TJack. He is easily one of the worst QBs in the SWAC. Not only is he a bad QB, he is grossly unintelligent. Its obvious that the Seahawks were using TJack to help them in the AndrewLuck lottery last year. It didnt work out for them because their defense was good and Indy was so bad.

It's not that uncommon for younger QBs or those on new teams to play longer in the early preseason games. Even though he's been in the league a few years, it's not like Flynn has years of regular season experience, so it's not too surprising that they would play him longer to try to build some rhythm. Seattle has virtually a brand new receiving core from a year ago. Still, I do agree that he's highly unlikely to be traded. Most teams will be willing to take the risk of waiting to see whether Seattle cuts him.

I wish nothing but bad things upon JSU. :devil2:
