We have yet to lose a SWAC game by more than 8 points.... Hopefully, we can make somethin' happen in the SWAC tourney.....
 
I'm elated for CynCooper and the PV women! They've really done a complete turnaround in a very short period of time! Congrats.

Also, on the men's side, congrats to the UAPB men! :tup: Remarkable and MOST improved! :tup:

I said we would compete in football and we were one game away.


I said we would compete in basketball and we won the regular season crown. I would say that I was pretty much correct in my assertions.



P.S. I never said we would win in women's basketball, track, or bowling, so HA!!!

Please... I think in reality... if I know we arent going to be good I say it (basketball)... Valley aint came close to winning a championship in anything except softball, but at the beginning of football, basketball season we hear the same story... Didnt you tell me Valley women were going to be the truth this year?

Did we beat PB and AAMU this year???
We've never won the SWAC in baseball???
We've never won the SWAC in softball????
We've never won the SWAC in men's basketball???



P.S. like I said I never told u that Valley would WIN the SWAC in women's baskeball.

about baseball... never recall you mentioning baseball... honestly dont know who won anything in baseball..

I guess u missed all them squads Strib was putting out there from 99-03. Just because they got beat by Texas Southern one consecutive buzzer-beating shots doesn't mean they weren't good teams.


Henry Jordan, Dewayne Jefferson, D'Jamel Jackson, Attarius Norwood, Mike Archie(before he got shot), Solomon Forbes, Willie Neal, Ashley Robinson, Hosea Butler, and etc.... Man please, anybody will tell you that Valley always had a basketball squad.

Yeah he pulled in a couple this year.I think after this season win or lose the tourney he'll get some good guys, just off Valley's basketball rep.

You're all looking at this in a negative way. maybe this says that the swac is a little tougher than some thought. it's not easy to win in someone elses gym. bama state staggered alabama in the acadome a few years ago and the alabama women still won't put them back on the scedule after they lost in montgomery. when you've got to go to itty bitty bean to play a game against valley it's hard to win and that's the same in every swac arena. man, imagine how hard it would be to win at southern if anyone went to the games...lol.. sorry just having a little fun with yall. u can't tell if our schools are any good b/c we're always playing in someone elses house where it's difficult to win.

Certainly not what we expected...we did not expect ANY losses to the SWAC but we are in second place. If we were 4th or lower, I would agree with you.
 
I told y'all from the beginning of basketball season. JSU was not as good as everyone was making them up to be. They got some very nice ooc wins, but that doesn't mean you will win in the SWAC. We play a different brand of ball here. The league is dominated by guards.
