AAMU Alum said:What are you snickering at? Did JSU have anything to get excited about this spring..

If you're referring to Mr. SWAC's post, I did, and I'm glad he repsonded to my question. I didn't smack A&M, and he responded to a honest question in a honest way in the spirit of this thread. He gave an honest crititque. Maybe you should take note.
NICE

I guess he doesn't know that J C is a lefty. :winkgrin:jag4life said:I guess he's trying to say that SU needs a separate QB coach... I say "why" when we have had the SWAC POTY at QB the last 2 seasons?
you think you will be able to stop the run, or you know for a fact that DaCorn will stop the run.folkdog said:Alcornite, We need a QB, I have no faith in Bozeman or Hobson. We need Spillers getting deep to open anything else up. Also will we be able to stop the run this yr, teams killed us on the ground.
D-NICE said:The defense will be the biggest question mark, though they should be greatly improved from last year. This unit may surprise some folk, there's size, and depth on the defensive line, speed, and range at linebacker, and the secondary returns SWAC Freshman Of The Year Jarmaul George, along with a few highly touted incoming freshmen, and transfers.
Mr. SWAC said:COACH, the QB position has been AAMU's achilles heel since coming into the SWAC. What other problems do you see us having since you without a doubt dissagree?
Man you know Southern ain't got nothing....... This years team isn't better than last years team, which wasn't that good...... :infect:D-NICE said:You dayum right I'm sure about that. We lost some starters, but we got some back. From what I understand Kevin Mack was granted another year of eligiblity, Jarmaul George will return to his starting role, Rayland Johnson will be back, Darwin Hammond will be back at safety, and Jarvis Bridges will return to his starting role at the other corner. So again, yes we will be greatly improved on defense.
Quincy's first 1/4 year as a starter was in David Oliver's first year as the OC, his previous 3 years were under Mark Orlando, but after being in Oliver's system for 2 years, Quincy blossomed, the same for Ricks, and this same situation will apply for JC. Different coaching system, different results, being a football man you should understand that. Research, research, research.
I don't know why a lot of you GSU people think you are the only ones who can improve, it must be something in the water, or something.
NICE

The offense I knew would have to come around.. so far so good...
But to be honest, I think our only weakness has been our BIGGEST problem for years... cant win on the road... if we can go to Huntsville and Grambling and win those games, we should win... the defense is just good enough I think to beat the teams we should beat and keep us in the games against the "elite" teams...
