It's good to see a SWAC team shoot above 70% from the FT Line. Now, all of teams need to work on less turnovers and more rebounding.
If we were to do that, we might win some OOC games.

+1.

[Devil's Gun Trigger Man]

This Valley team is gone be one to watch out for because they have a kid that may be a superstar in the SWAC in 6'6 guard/forward Davon Usher. He dropped 35 on Northwestern last night, 19 on Ole Miss, and 12 on #24 Cinncinati. Keep an eye out for this Valley team and 1st year coach Chico Potts.

Ouch but damn NCCU did to. We are having too many fouls each half. More like 13 per half. We send teams to line in each half around the 10 minute mark and they get points early.

20-22 for Wyoming and 6-11 for us. We need to get to the line more too.

Great OC win for Texas Southern. Mike Davis had them boys playing hard.

Banks seems happy with the way we played, that speaks volumes, because he isn't easily pleased.

Southern men fade in loss to Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo . — The first 34 minutes Friday night couldn’t have gone any better if Southern coach Roman Banks had scripted them.

The Jaguars led the bigger, deeper Wyoming Cowboys for most of the final game of the Global Sports Hoops Showcase. The only thing Banks couldn’t script was the finish.

Wyoming erased a seven-point deficit with 6:17 to go by posting a 15-3 run, lifting the Cowboys to a 67-60 victory.

Southern finished its weeklong road trip, which started with games at Iowa State and Nebraska before coming to Laramie, at 1-4. But the Jaguars head home with plenty of optimism following what Banks called his team’s best performance of the season.

“We played tonight,” he said. “We had a chance to win the ballgame. It went as good as I could have hoped. ... We had Brandon (Moore) playing, and it gave us some confidence. When he plays a couple games and we learn how to play with him in the lineup, I think we can be pretty good.”
