SWAC Baseball: Final Regular Season Weekend

Texas Southern clinched a spot in the 2008 SWAC Baseball Champion tournament today, but defeating Arkansas Pine-Bluff 20-4 in the final game of a three game series. TSU needed to win two of the three games to become the final team in the West to qualify for the tournament.

Adam Sellers was the big hitter for the Tigers in today?s game. He had four hits in six at bats for seven RBI?s. Sellers hit four doubles and scored two runs in this game. He also had no strikeouts and no walks.

Pitcher Ehern Moreno had one of his best outings of the season. Moreno had eight strikeouts, no earned runs and five walks in five innings on the mound. He also recorded his first win of the season.

Texas Southern will head to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the SWAC Tournament which will be played from May 13 ? 18th at Southern University.

Dude, ya'll need to stay at home. It's a shame to waste good gas as high as it is to go over to LA and get drug. I could see if ya'll had a remote chance but you and Alabama State need to stay home. Donate that money to the homeless or something. At least every other team going has AT LEAST an outside shot at upsetting JSU or SU. Maybe ya'll can play each other on Wii or something..... :lmao:

We are really going to smash yall because I'm guessing JSU players are probably thinking the same against yall -- Its the east -- :swink: When was the last time they won a Swac Tourny?

Its a different monster during the tourney...

They gave there coaches Gatorade baths after the game for coming in 4th place:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: I blame The Cole's Bobby Reid and the coach who said " I'm a man I'm 40" :lmao::lmao:

I normally don't even argue baseball on here unless you played baseball in the SWAC but you don't even believe that dumb ****. Don't get that east division west division stuff twisted you guys won 11 games. We lost to SU bad, played a horrible game I can stand by that but we also blew out Gram twice and PB we have hands down been the most constant team in the SWAC hands down this year ya'll win one series and you guys are talking crazy I was all for the 8 team tourney ( Only cause our offices don't know how to run a 6 team one)but now I am seeing we are rewarding mediocrity

Yeah I can stand by that Look at you guys this week make a bunch of errors one day then score 200 runs this weekend. As many news clipping you post Cador has been complaing about you guys inconstancy all year its not a bad thing. Just what happens in college baseball

I don't ever argue on here and yes I played swac baseball on won a swac championship in which most people on this website hasn't. You may have won one, I don't know.

Yes I really believe we are going to beat yall. Last years team, I wouldn't have believed it.

You missed my whole point. I said I will only argue with you because you have played in the SWAC and won championship. So have I 2000. It's great to believe in your team everyone should have school pride but come on blast is th wrong word. I hope it is a great game.

I was listening to the broadcast and the kid they interviewed was like I heard JSU couldn't pitch which is amazing when our era is almost 3 points lower the TSU. How do you make a crazy comment like that.

Oh ok -- 3 points lower than ours...He shouldn't have said that because everyone in the SWAC has horrible ERA's
