Alcorn State didn't want to see this again. But here it is.

The 2007 baseball Braves entered the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the East Division behind rival Jackson State. Alcorn State finished the regular season two games behind JSU.
Jackson State (33-15, 17-3) travels to Lorman today for a 1 p.m. start of a three-game series with Alcorn State (24-11, 11-7). The Tigers have a five-game lead on ASU just two weeks before the conference tournament. This weekend marks the final league games of the regular season for JSU.
The Braves wrap up the regular season with a series against Alabama A&M next weekend, but still can't catch the Tigers - as of now.
"The main thing is making it to the tournament, regardless if you go in as the No. 1 or No. 2 seed," ASU coach Willie McGowan said. "We'll take whatever seed we can get.
"It's just the idea of going in there, playing good baseball, getting the momentum, keeping it going and winning four straight ballgames."
A question posed to the SWAC office about the standings was unanswered Thursday. If Alcorn State sweeps JSU and A&M, it would tie the Tigers with 17 conference victories. But Jackson State would still hold the No. 1 seed with one less loss (6) than the Braves (7).
