alot of our stations don't even make money off their football/basketball broadcasts so that's not an issue...most of our campus stations our non-commercial and if you listen, they barely have underwriters...

only a few go non-commercial and have turned a profit....only issue with a profit station is that we're limited in programming time and are at discretion of others

Thanks for that clarification. I've heard them do things like other public broadcast networks, tv and radio, have radio fundraising campaigns asking supporters to give to keep that type of programming on the air.

So, it should be even less of a deal to get them to come TOGETHER to offer cover. Between games and say two to three times a game, they could run a commercial asking not only their alums, but anyone listening to the game on the air at the time to support with a donation. And it still wouldn't hurt for the SWAC to seek out sponsorship, so they can raise something to give to the stations for their efforts of support of their championships tournament.

But again, this would take leadership and the convincing of some to laid aside egos for the bettermeant of the conference. It was a beautiful thing last year to basically have complete coverage of the tournament. I think that was a combination of Alcorn's broadcasters and JSU's broadcasters on Alcorn's station. However, it is done in unity is all good. Its time for the SWAC to work together again.

aaahh! Do you know if it will be on internet like PV and/or TxSU's station? I'll be in my son's 6th grade band concert at tonight. I'd rather listen live as I work from home.

I'm not sure about TSU's, but I'm all but positive it will not be broadcast on PV's station.
