His transition to 1-AA has not been as smooth as we expected but a SWAC Championship and two SCG appearances in four years ain't bad...just not good enough for JSU. Going 3-7 at JSU is cause for termination regardless of what you did the previous year but Comegy did what Pete would not do... cut the fat and TRY to get better. I like the position we are in. We already have the best defense in the conference and it won't be hard to develop the best offense.

JR, in the SWAC, history DOES matter. What two or three schools have the highest attendance? What three schools have the most titles? What three schools have the most NFL players, the most Hall of Fame players. Over the years, Grambling and JSU has lead the SWAC.

Has PV, Tex. So, Bama State, Valley, Pine Bluff consistently lead the SWAC over the years? No.

Fans expect and get more from programs who've won in the SWAC. For you to sit here and say that history doesn't matter is by all standards untrue.
