:shame: Dude you dont know how much money SU is gonna make for this game..it could rain, fans could boycott etc..heyal it still could be played at mumford since nothing has been signed...also take into consideration that SU is only getting 80% of the gate and NOT total revenue..had you had the game in Mumford you'd collect 100% of the gate, concession and parking.

We getting 20% of your gate and by the time we collect our percentage of the concession and parking ($10 a caR and $50 and up for tailgating spaces) we may end up making just as much as yall dumbarses :lol: off YOUR HOME GAME at that..

True, but at what cost to an already economically strapped Baton Rouge and Scotlandville area? Those venders and small mom and pop stores, hotels, restaurants, gas stations, etc....in and around Scotlandville and BR will suffer more than many want to admit, but I guess some of you guys could care less. JSU will not have to pay any traveling expenses this year which we would have if the game was in Mumford nor next year since its our home game. SU on the other hand will be paying traveling expenses 2 years in a row. Who comes out better in that situation..you got it JSU..
You get 80% of the GATE for your home game this year and we get 20%...we get 80% of the GATE next year for our home game and you get 20%...with all things remaining equal (such as fans weather etc) it seems like a wash RIGHT...NOoooOOOT..

Financial Woes in Jackson State University Athletics May End Several Sports Programs
Braddy said the athletic department needs to raise half a million dollars or it might be forced to drop several sports in the not-too-distant future.
School administrators say its 6.5 million budget is not enough to support 18 intercollegiate sports much longer.
“It’s not like we have a choice, it’s something that we must do in order to survive,” Braddy told the Clarion-Ledger. “It’s very real.”
The former Jackson State baseball coach said if the university is not able to secure $500,000 by June, it might be forced to drop two or three sports.
