Since the JSU/SU game drew only 35,000. Move that game back to Baton Rogue in 2004?

AH, to the Grambling folks. The BAYOU CLASSIC debate is not even a debate. LOL. Everybody knows that your school doesn't travel. The people on the SWACPAGE are basically the only ones at the game. LOL. My mom and sister went to Grambling. Growing up I've been to the Bayou Classic SEVERAL times. Don't try to come on here lying about your attendence figures at the BC. You can fool everyone else...but not me. Southern CLEARLY outnumbers yall at the Bayou Classic....EVERY YEAR...Don't even try it. LOL. I'll say on average the BAYOU CLASSIC is about 55,000 SU to 10,000 GSU. AND THAT'S BEING REALLY GENEROUS. REALLY. The Southern fans are the common factor in this debate...ask them who brings the most fans...GSU or JSU. LOL. No-brainer. The last year i went to the classic...Grambling had a corner of the plaza level locked down....THE REST OF THE DOME WAS BLUE AND GOLD and you knew it when Southern scored. LOL. That sh*t errupted. LMAO. I was like dayum....where are the Gramblinites. That was my mom and sis last time going as well. It's a rough walk out of their with black and gold pom-poms. LOL. :lmao:

If Gram has nothing to do with filling up the dome, why is it that when SU plays Tulane or J-State in the dome, they can't seem to get but 45,000-50000 peope in the dome, but when THE ICON is there with the Jags, the dome is filled to capacity (69,000) with another 100,000 outside trying to get in?

Okay, Here is an unbiased opinion. I think that it is VERY INSULTING that at HBCUs football games we are counted as 1/2 people. Now, I was not at the Tulane/SU game but I was ta the SU/JSU game. I was in total disbelief with the announced crod of 35,000. I think there were 45,000. It happens with the PV/GSU game as well. Maybe, the announced crowd is paid attendance. For example, I am sure that Tulane has sponsors that purchase tickests and this is why the announce crowd was high.

I have to admit that SU/JSU are two of the top schools in fans traveling to games. SU is definitely the leader. Ialso think that some of the GSU fans would have attended this game but went to Vegas instead.

Allow me to give my 2 cents.

I dont mean to disagree with you all, but I believe there were only 35K or so there. There werent nearly as many there as last time. We would like to think there was, but there wasnt. If the Dome holds 70K then 35K sounds about right.

The 1st and second level werent full, and the endzone was scattered.

I think the game should be moved back to BR. Providing SU cuts out the home field antics.

Are you on crack? Our stadium is like that every week. It's like that no matter who we play, and trust most of that crowd was pro-JSU.

Don't believe your own hype. You know GSU just started coming back to the Classic last year. As for those other games, those are basically locally supported. A lot of us, and I'm speaking for myself, refused to go and get raped more than once by the same city. I can grit my teeth and take it rough once a year, though I hate it. And though JSU is the game that I care the most about in both football and band, I can't see it if it means giving New Orleans more of my money.

The other point is, there are plenty of locations to take a big game like JSU, if it isn't going to be on the bluff, where it would actually benefit the athletic department and the university.
Playing 2 or 3 times on that old superdome concret (turf) ain't good for our team.

But, for some reason, we don't mind giving up home field advantage to travel for a home field in a city that robs us blind. I know no one is surprised the numbers are low. That simply means the payment will be lower than it should.

Keep doing the same thing and your keep getting the same results.

Im having a hard time trying to figure out why you Gram people are trying to push the attendance issue. Why? You guys dont have a good following, so what is this about?

Come on man....tell the truth and shame the devil. This is bordering on being ridiculous.
