Since SOUTHERN and UAPB Has Evaded the Question....Here it is

I agree that the process was flawed because of the fact that PB was not on the conference call. BUT, what SU did was ask for something and got it. Ultimately, no matter who was the chair of the board, the presidents voted on this, and Dr Jackson from SU only had one vote.

Now why is PB not filing a formal complaint of some sort because of this?

give the commish a what? You might want to because he has already shown biasness towards you in 2 sports...

why would he pass an important athletic issue to a group of folks who don't care about football unless it's homecoming or classic time to hang in the skybox?

Why couldn't he ask the presidents to vote on the baseball matter? He quickly sides with Southern to get PV out and he does the same to Pine Bluff....sad that their own chancellor can't even vote..

The only thing which can be surmized from you and fiyah's post is your president is ignorant. I refuse to believe that.

"I think it is just as much a revenue loss as if we lost Homecoming," Curry said. "That's the kind of revenue loss we are looking at. It's not the end of the world. We may be able to find another team and do something different. We aren't going to sit back and cry about it. We are going to move forward." Craig Curry,Athletic Director,UAPB

Surely, there's got to be an SU person who sees something wrong with this process!!!
A vote on the UAPB/SU game when UAPB wasn't there (wrong number :smh: ) to give their side, while SU was there.(To boot, the SU chancellor is the President of the body making the decision). And the ruling that was handed down was favorable to SU, at PB's expense.
Where is the fairness in that???

Not to mention, 2 teams in the same division not playing, even though they have a common open date during the season. :smh:

This stuff is just all around WRONG!!!! And I can't believe some folks are actually defending it.

Please answer this questions. Was your president a cohort in the decision? Have you questioned him about "the process?" Your constant ranting is akin "to pi$$ing in the wind." Voice your displeasure to the bama president and see what type of feedback you will get (snicker).

PBLA,
So basically they have no problem with it...they are not crying about it but the fans are. You need to get on your administrators.

Wow!!! If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that Curry's attitude is one of "we are not going to win the SWAC anyway, so why bother? We can just find some NAIA or D2 program and make up the home game"

Well dayum aren't the conference fans enough? I mean why should anyone else outside of conference fans really care?

Most fans don't care whether S.U./APB play one another are not. You have a few hard core agenda seeking fans on the TSPN that has blown the situation out of proportion and is no way a microcosm of SWAC fans. Again I will ask the question, look bad to who? Exactyly who do you all want to impress?

First you all whine about S.U. non conference schedule now the conference schedule. I noticed some people called S.U. people arrogant. If this is true (which I don't believe), you all sure facilitate it with all of this crazy scrutiny.

JROCK,

Come on bruh. Don't attempt to divert this....again. Save it for one of the students or something.

They are displaying a quitter attitude. I am starting to doubt that PB even attempted to make that conference call.

I am a Southern fan, and I must say that I feel the two schools should play each other since they are in the same division, but at the same time I'm reading where a lot of people are coming down on the people who are defending SU. It makes it seem as though Southern is running the SWAC, like Southern makes all the rules, like everybody at that meeting where they decided on this game not being played this year was all from Southern. In my opinion, I think everyone on here from other schools and UAPB included should stop complaining about it on here, and just like many people joked about Pete Richardson growing some balls, ya'll need to suggest that to some of the TOP people at your schools to grow some and try to correct anything that you all make think is wrong with this whole situation. Just my honest opinion in all of this.

A vote while only hearing one side of the story is like a defendant and his lawyer not being at the trail, but the jury convicting him anyway. To argue that the presidents voting for it validates it, makes no sense if they were not provided with all the information. How can anyone make a logically decision without the whole story? One side wasn't even present. Right there, the commish should have halted the meeting and tried to get UAPB on the phone. Someone should have been calling them. What if the phone lines in Pine Bluff had gone down or something? Who was to know? You don't continue on with a meeting of that magnitude without at least finding out why the other party isn't present.

Obviously, this did not happen and the blame rest on the Commissioner because he allowed for a vote to take place without the presents of one of the parties involved in the case at hand. The point of having a commish is to facilitate these processes. To hand over control of the meeting to the Chair, who is the head of one of the parties involved, is beyond me. Those types of situation lead to thoughts of a corruption even when none is there. I thought this was why you have the Vice-Chair for these exact cases.

To not see the flaw in this situation is beyond me.

I've seen plenty of non-SU peeps call folks bytches on here....so, please don't start that.

If it's so out of order, make it a uniform rule across the board....for EVERYONE.
