Rick Perry says Texas A&M is talking about SEC move

Georgia Tech would be a good fit in the SEC.

We left the ACC for ethical reasons. Heck, some of the stuff that APR deals with right now was why Tech left the ACC. We didn't like how SEC schools would recruit a kid and cut him a year later. Our coaches felt that if you recruit a kid, you see him thru until he gets a degree.

bruh Clemson is an hour away from Atlanta... they SHOULD roll deep lol

Yeah, well when we played them in Tampa, they were deep as hell too. I thought they were gonna seriously outnumber us but that didn't happen....but they were reppin all over Tampa like they were located there.

Alabama should have been in the tournament. They got robbed big time. They return a lot of their key players and has an excellent coach. They are going to be ranked near the Top 10 this season. A&M is nowhere near as good as Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt has 3 NBA first rounders in their starting line-up. The problem with Vanderbilt is if they can get past their 1st round road block in the tournament. Again Texas A&M would be competitive, but they aren't just going to come in and take over.

Even their excellent track program would encounter some stiffer competition with Florida, Arkansas, and LSU. The track meets are definitely going to be interesting.

I don't think anybody argued that A&M was gonna come take over, but they'd clearly be one of the top teams in the SEC as they have been in the Big 12. Alabama did not get robbed. They played in the weakest division in recent memory among the major conferences. That was 10 free wins right there. They had several terrible losses. They were an NIT team through and through. A&M has been in the tournament 6 straight years, Alabama has been there once over the same stretch. Let's actually watch Alabama do something before proclaiming they're a top ten team. Your basis for Vandy being better is that they have 3 first rounders (and yes that's a stretch), even though they can't get out of the first round? They had a similar record as Texas A&M, and they were ranked similarly as Texas A&M at the end of the year. Every metric outside of your SEC bias says that A&M and Vandy have been equivalent programs over the past few years, well except that Texas A&M has actually won games in the tournament.

Is having 3 NBA first rounders unusual anymore? Kentucky has been doing it on a regular basis. If Renardo Sidney comes back, even Mississippi State will have three NBA first rounders in Sidney, Arnett Moultrie and Rodney Hood. Vandy is going to be strong this year.

Actually it is, and Vandy isn't Kentucky. And no, Mississippi State won't have three first rounders either.

Bama will be good in basketball this year... return 4 starters and signed two 5 star recruits and a 4 star recruit.... one of them the BEST high school player to ever play basketball in this state... who picked Bama over Kentucky. Grant is doing a good job at UA.... dont know if Im ready to say a top 10 team but they will be improved over last year... remember they went to the NIT championship game last year.

 With UNC returning everyone from last year, they may as well go ahead and send the 2012 NCAA Basketball Tournament trophy to Chapel Hill now.

I'm sure they'll be better, Grant is a great coach. My point was that they need to actually something before claiming they'll be better than a team that's been in the tournament regularly.

I'm not saying that Alabama will be a top 10 team, but that is where a lot of the experts are ranking them near. They seem to be poised for an excellent season. And yes Vanderbilt has 3 NBA first rounders with Festus Ezeli, John Jenkins, and Jeffrey Taylor. Vanderbilt played a very tough schedule last season, and had to play Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee twice(all tournament teams).

That shouldn't be too hard to believe when Kentucky has that every year. Florida had 3 lottery picks in 2007.

Sidney must not be coming back then. Because, if he does, you are so wrong. :)

Time will tell. Arnett Moultrie hasn't done a thing in college that says sure-fire first rounder, Rodney Hood hasn't played a second of college basketball, and I won't get into the multiple issues Sidney has had.

Like I said, none of those schools are Kentucky, or Florida for that matter. Going into this season, only Taylor is projected as a first rounder, and right now, even he is projected in the back third of the first round. Let's not forget that the 2012 draft is going to be deep.
