Just saw that on the news.......I think SU is trying to call Pete's bluff, he's trying to strong-arm them into extending his contract.......wonder how this will turn out.

You have no understanding of Louisiana folks body language (so to speak), this isn't JSU so what your interpretation of it is and what is actually going on aren't the same. But hey enjoyed the show hopefully you learn something.
 
Practice didn't start until 6:00pm tonight... Finals are going on...Only time they could get the majority of players for a practice...
 
Pete will be coaching at SU next season, they don't want to pay him all that money! I'm sure you jags can deal with it for another year!:lol:
 
Pete aint done isht in five years, how the hell does he think he can strong arm an extension..

Ok but that still doesn't change to fact they told a head coach he can feel free to seek other opportunities.

I can't wait to see the other opportunities he has that's going to pay him 250k.
 



I hope Coach Rich lands on his feet, cause I do think this is it this time. I think it is time though, a change would be good for him and our Great University. But on the other hand if the remaining three names I am hearing are the three tops to replace him...hell we better off keeping Coach Rich....

I'm :scared: as hell right now, only cause I know the folks who are gonna make the decision and well.....
 
The thing i don't like is that he built the program up to where it was from '93-'02. He does that with poor facilities, now that the facilities are decent they want to turn their backs on him.. This isn't a Coach Rob or a Bowden situation where age is a factor.. This is just flat out wrong... I think if they don't extend him at least through '12 they should at least keep him around for next season and let him have his farewell tour....:shame:

Pete dictated what happen to him by his lack of hiring good support, if he was really concern about the program he wouldn't have ran off the best assistance coaching staff in the SWAC that went undefeated for three years.

While I understand your sympathy for Pete, we own him nothing but a check for his work. He made that bed
