Question regarding the Turkey Day Classic....

I had to have absolutely NOTHING else to click on to click on a BAMA topic. See that is the difference between JSU and ya'll. MCC and TDC

It's gonna be tough... Alcorn has JSU's number. Even if they win, they have to worry about playing Grambling again...now that skezz's the hell outta the little boys in blue!

Dude, you just want what you say to be true. Alcorn had Bell's number. Bell is gone. Last year was Alcorn's last chance and they only won because it was our transitional year.

Dahill,

You're absolutely right. Homecoming was packed this year. All the standing room areas were packed with tents, people in lawn chairs, and the works. I had a seat right on the hill, and went back and forth to my RV all during the game to grab food, libations, and works. That 30,000 number was not inflated!

Don't you all require tailgaters to have a ticket? I am sure all Homecomings would be 30K if that was the norm. I am sure that is some sort of violation but oh well.

MH, the JSU-Alcorn game used to be played on Thanksgiving day but we moved it for the playoffs. Since we are still playoff eligible, I think it should remain where it is. The game is big enough and we have a season full of big games with nice attendance despite undercounts....however to date, I have yet to see an undercount as drastic as the 58-61 Homecoming game in 2001 vs. AlaState. :( They said 20,000. :lmao:

TP,

I'm not sure if you've been to a game at TU. The lot behind the stands where all the RV's park and tailgate is officially in the stadium. The ticket managers come by the night before, and check everyone to make sure they have a ticket. That's why we can tailgate, inside the stadium. Tuskegee's stadium is surrounded by a lot of area, where people can set up tents and lawn chairs. TU charges to set up tents in these areas, so thy're collecting money on that. It's a cool arrangement because as I said you can go back and forth from your tailgate to the game at will.

One of these days TU will renovate the Bowl, but hopefully, they'll leave that arrangement in place as it is unique. I've never been to another place like it.
