Always Together
Alright i'm curious at everyone's view of each other. I don't know if this post has been done before but, there are ten bands in the swac, i wanna know what year do you consider to be each bands best year(if you have nothing to say about themjust don't them down, i'm not trying to start any crap) here's my example:

JSU - 95, 97, 02
Su- 93, 97, 86
ALCORN- 95
Prarie- 99, 02 ,05
AAMU- 97, 02, 06
UAPB- 02,04, 05
TXSU- 85, 04, 06
ALABAMA STATE UNIVERSITY 91, 95, 98, 99

OTS:
BCC 00, 03, 04
Fam 86, 89, 94

Now before anyone starts any crap, if I didn't mention your band for a more up to date year, it doesn't mean any thing. I just put three years for each band I enjoyed the best(except I know I put 4 for bama state)

GSU-83,89,94,03
JSU - 99,02,04
SU- 84,95,96,05
ALCORN- 95, 97
Prairie View- 98, 02
AAMU- 98, 02,
UAPB- 04
TXSU- 84, 06
BAMA STATE-95, 98, 05
Valley-73,96

Depends on how old you are.....seriously.

So, I guess this is based on how long you've been alive....right?

Okay, My thoughts on SU 2005 season. You really do not have to think that hard to know for a fact that Su was going to send out Dr. Greggs in style. Every game was intense, heated, hyped for those students. Adding the fact the drive from the graduation senior who can say that "We where the last to march under Dr. Greggs".

Also add to the formula...The CRABS that can now say I was there to see the legend out. I had a chance to be part of the Historical year for SU...the year of 2005.

The tribute that was done during the 2005 Bayou Classic. I made that trip all the way to Houston, Texas to witness in person.

Sarge, that ain't what the topic asked. Schools and years are all we are concerned with.

Shid, 95 was probably our WORST year......hell, that was my last year in the band and I'on really claim it. :smh:

99 would have been decent if it wasn't for that MCC show.

Personally, I would have to go with 91, 92, 94, 98, and 03.

Valley 80-84..

SU 82, 83....:shame: I ain't saying naything else.

TXSU 81, 83

SU

the 70s had some great ones can't really nail one year down though
83, 85, 89, 84 was very underated and I think it was better than most folks give credit. TxSU and Tn State can attest to that.

I can't really say which 90s band stood out the most. Probably 95-97. I did like the 93 band too. 99 stands out to me the most in the late 90s.

In the 2000's, I like 03, 05 and 06

84 was definitely a beast.. I guess during that time sitting in between 83 and 85 will make you forget about how great 84 was, but with out a doubt one of SU's best bands. I honestly all around out 83-85 above any other band I have witnessed...But you seem to have paid attention to the 90's them the same bands I listed...

93 is my favorite out of the 90's....95-97 was something serious for used... that when a large group of New Orleans best were flooding SU... 99 we had to go out right my last year...

I don't know the exact years, but I'm going to say old school SU bands were the best. The 70's, 80's and 90's.

SU 82, 83.... I ain't saying naything else.
LOL I have that su vs. jsu 83 game on dvd that soul train was

Honestly, I can only rate JSU during my time, 1978-1981. No one came close to us. My crab year was the best class on record. We were just that good. :swink:
