Man Z~, I'm glad you're okay. Damn.

And I hope once they test the animal that the rabies shot record is up to date. And I ALSO hope the owner doesn't jack w/ you. You're being awfully, awfully nice in going about this the way you are, real peaceful like. Howsinever, if they bring out the bull in you, let that SOB roam these prairies like he needs to. :slap:
I own a black pit for the first time ever. He's as docile as a lamb and I agree w/ others who state it's the persona they take on (from their caregiver-owner). I don't trust him too much but he's very docile for a 24mo old. Black, weighs ~105lbs @ the last visit to the vet. All of my family have played w/ him from the time he was a pup until now. The ONLY time I've seen him semi-growl @ someone was when someone walked up on the truck while he was in the back (had him tied off there). So, I take it he was being protective of what he thought was his. 2+ weeks ago, I almost shot 2 distant cousins after I'd shot @ their pit that had gotten loose and semi-chased me while I was on the atv on my property and they found out that I'd shot @ their loose-deranged mangy pit on my property. I told them, w/ 9mm in hand, cocked, and finger on trigger that they should choose their words to me very, very carefully and do watch their tone or the local funeral home would have 2 customers the following morning. They wanted to get confrontational so after they tucked their tails between their legs and hastily left after I got the gun and walked back towards them, I called the sheriff's dept to report their loose animal and also to make a report of what I was going to do to their dog if she hit my 10.1 acres again and to those fools who own her if THEY hit my property talking smack again. Relative or no relative, I gives not a good damn. :|
