I was laughing with my sister last night about some of the "old folks sayings" our late grand mother used to say. My Grand Maw, was originally from Hattiesburg, Miss. and she used to tear some words up! LOL
Here are are couple of her saying:
Oft Tween: "You Chillun come oft tween the cars, before somebody gets hurt"
Meaning: "You children come out from between those cars, before somedody gets hurt".
Yess-ti-dy: "I told ya'll to stop that yess-ti-dy"
Meaning: "I told you all to stop that yesterday"
Vex: "Don't nuthin vex me like a racist-cracker-red neck!"
Meaning: "Don't nothing makes me madder than a racist white person!"
What are some of the saying that you remember some of your elderly relatives saying.
