So lets assume that the year you won the SWAC was your best team this century. didnt Skegee beat your ass that year and then they turned right around and lost to Edward Waters or somebody in the Pioneer Bowl. Didnt that happen.

and GR kinda agrees....you were not the best team....you were the least worst team. The SWAC sucked that year. Thats the only reason you won the SWAC. As a matter of fact, the only reason you won the SWAC is because Bruce blew out his knee. If that had not happened, you would not have won the SWAC.
And then you went on to lose to Skegee....AAAAGAIN who went on to lose to Concordia or somebody the next week in the Pioneer Bowl. Oh well

Did you happen to miss the All-SWAC teams? Somebody is seeing it. You don't want to see it and that's okay. I understand why. Fact is, talent-wise, we were probably just under J-State last year. But, coaching should have pushed us over ..... it did not. Period.
Plus, I don't see anyone bragging on one specific player. Our team is what we will brag on. We are suppose to win this year, plain and simple.

Dude, please! We made T. Jackson look like Vick that day. No pressure like we brought in Montgomery that year. The same offensive line that couldn't control people in their backfield in Montgomery looked like the Steelers running the ball that day. I give y'all credit for punishing what you could, but we should have finished that one off, period.

You had decent skill position players on offense, but your interior players were not ready at all. Thats what the offseason is for. You might not want to admit it, but missing Landry is going to hurt and hurt bad. Coates was your most valuable player and now he is gone. Time will tell.

Of course losing Landry will hurt. You don't think losing Oliver or Haw will hurt JSU?
Coates .... hell, we didn't know what he was gonna do at this time last year. Smith is better than him, L. Holmes returns, and the freshmen (redshirts and true) give us more than enough depth.
Do you remember what happened the last time we lost a big time receiver (Hayes and D. Lewis)? 2003 .... the RAC Boys. I can still see that Jackson DB trying to catch Alfred Ard on the end-around.
Roberts, White, Stewart, House, Gregory, Allen, and Fleming .... I feel sorry for a lot of secondaries in the SWAC this year.
Fast forward .... that interior line issue .... taken care of. Depth along both lines, unlike last year.
We know who our guys will be right now unless someone surprises. You cannot say the same.

One name: TC Vick .... if we overstate our players, y'all go Heisman stupid for yours.
Now, I thought we had the second best WR corps in the state, yeah. But, as you know, that means nothing if you don't put them positions to excel. A balanced attack would have pushed some of those jams off them allowed them to be seriously effective. Instead, we passed to Coates, who very few teams had an answer for, as our de facto running game. That will work against some teams, but teams with real defenses (PV, J-State, AAMU), it won't work consistently.

Does anybody ever just beat yall? Is anybody just better than SU? Is that possible? You do realize that 2 of your last 3 seasons were losing seasons right. GR tries to have reasonable conversations with SU folks, but it just does not work. Sheeeesh. You got more excuses than a brotha in jail.
BTW....just cause you know your players names, that does not mean they are good. You can name all the WRs you want, it means nothing. And if Del Roberts is the best WR you have, you are in SERIOUS trouble.

Del Roberts is not our best WR and neither is second team pick Juamorris Stewart. But I guess since they are former D1 transfers I guess the rest of the SWAC coaches and folks like them..............
Clevan White is our best WR......caught a TD against JSU. #9. He is taller and faster than G. Landry.

OK, you stubbled upon 8 wins last year by beating sorry teams like FAMU but either you don't know football or you don't know football if you think you can beat JSU with that weak azz o-line and d-line you got returning.
