Its a shame Grambling wasnt there. They represent Louisiana with class, and are by far the best sounding band in that state.

It’s alright. Jukes sounding good brotha. Hey props to the band and you should be proud as an alum. I know you all will have a great season and come boom box we gone slug it out and bring out the best in each other. Go tear it up in Cali.
 
2019 Cracker Barrel National Battle of the Bands Leaves Its Mark on Houston!


Houston, TX (September 12, 2019) – The 2019 Cracker Barrel National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) left its mark on Houston, Texas, as the largest African American, non-football game event in the state of Texas, during the event’s inaugural year at NRG Stadium.

The impact of the NBOTB was felt throughout Labor Day Weekend. In addition to the 2,500 members representing the eight HBCU bands featured in Sunday’s lineup at NRG Stadium, which drew in 37,782 attendees, other official events were created to focus on community engagement, college recruitment, health and wellness and entrepreneurship.

If you look at the band battles head to head.. SU was ceasing any competition. But it is what style you prefer.
 
Let the drums roll out, Let the trumpets call, While the fans shout, "Strike up the bands!"

HBCU Marching bands have become "recruiting tools! I say, "Let The Music Play" next year with the Sonic Boom of the South as a participant! ;)
