Just listening to the commentary.. Regardless who this person is...Respect the deceased and his/her family..... They kept insinuating that this was a wonderful Production.... It was a HomeGoing Service.... not the Grammys. :upset:

Seems like CNN was quite confused once the svc was over. They didn't understand why the motorcade went to the Bellshire something hotel w/ family and friends. Obviously they've never attended a "black" funeral before. Dinner.

Also, I don't think MJ's body was in that casket. I really think he was already buried @ the svc that was held @ some cemetary earlier w/ family and friends and he may have actually been buried much earlier in the day w/ the memorial svc being held as a tribute to him. Some folx, I won't call no names white folx lol, are semi-crazy and could've been trying to stop the hearse and remove a lock of hair or fling their bodies out in the middle of the motorcade or something.

My Mother said the same thing...she thinks Mike is already buried and the casket was empty.

On CNBC, the white reporter said, "apparently they are going to be with family and friends and eat at the Beverly Wilshire. I understand this is a custom in the African American community". :lol: I said yes ma'am it's called the REPAST. It is very, very important to us. :lecture:

I think his body was not in the coffin either. They didn't go back to the cemetary and went to the repast, so where was Michael. I guess they could leave him in the hearse til they finish eating. :noidea:

See, that is what I call a funeral. Black folks know how to have a funeral....well, not my wife's family. They be in the cemetary taking group pictures and schitt. My family be all passed out by the time the casket goes in the ground.. lol

Is it true this funeral/memorial service cost Los Angeles $3.8 million? That is more than $4 million the city has spent on events if you include the Lakers championship celebration.

That is Good news to hear. I just watched the memorial(missed it). I know they all practice different faiths, religion, etc.. but I like the way Shelia and Marlon spoke. GOD

Michael's body os being flown to Gary for a memorial service set for Thursday.

Still no word on where he's being buried.

But it was a beautiful 'fune........
