McNeese vs SU update (tickets)

Why should they give the visiting team a ton of tickets? It is their home game. They are giving up more than 10% of the stadium capacity for the visiting team. That's more than enough if you asked me.

I never said give a ton of tickets but at least give the "faithfuls" a fair shake at getting decent tickets. I also say that because of the "L" I went through getting tickets for the McNeese game in Lake Charles. I was lucky enough to have "sit down" tickets at the game but I was surrounded by nothing but McNeese supporters. It would have been nice to see a familiar "GSU" face but that was not the case. It was not until I went to were the "standing" section was that I saw the "faithfuls". Everyone scattered out and noone to converse with. My own personal experience is the reason I say more tickets should be alloted to the visiting team. But that is just "my opinion".

I think in many ways we've been spoiled because a lot of our teams don't fill their stadiums on a regular basis, leaving a large number of tickets to be purchased by visiting fans. In terms of the size of the stadium, 2000 is a large number of tickets as McTailgator mentioned. By comparison, the Big Ten only requires teams to allot 1500 tickets to visiting schools. Here at the University of Michigan, despite having the largest stadium in the country, we generally only allot 2000 tickets to visiting schools.

Be glad you don't follow one of the big boys in the SEC. The McNeese fans are tame compared to the treatment you'd get as a LSU or Tennessee Fan visiting at a Florida Gator game.

Cat daddy you have said a mouth full!! I did not get into the reason why I left my "sit down" sit. LOL But the McNeese fans (us in paticular) are not as friendly as they claim to be. Thank God for wisdom! :D

Very valid point. I use to going up the gate (away games) and asking which side is "Grambling's". :jump:

If they did it, it was under the table. Ticket office does not open for single game seats until Monday at 8:AM
Naw. Check with your ticket office. A group purchased 100 or so tickets Thursday from McNeese ticket office.

There were reports of several SU support groups going to Lake Charles tonight to be there early in the morning to purchase tickets. The Hurricane might put a damper in their plans.

1st, It's MCNEESE.

2nd. You are correct in the fact, we normally get tickets back from our SLC foes and to think that we have send 2,000 tickets as of Friday to SU, you guys need to realize that this is TWICE as many as we have EVER had to send anyone else before. This game will be a sell out by the end of the day on Monday.

SU fans that want tickets, can either stand in line at the MSU ticket office or buy them on line via ticket master like many McNeese fans will do.

Tickets are $16 plus a $4 ticketmaster fee so what's $20 for someone wanting to support their team?

Still less than the $28 we paid last year!!! :hat:

No doubt about that. After the Train runs over the Jags AGAIN this week the SWAC is going to require all teams to play 12 league games a year to avoid anymore embarrassments!!! :slap: :lmao: :lmao:
