MCC Legion Field

I don't think I'm the one in denial here.

2-5 begs to differ.....

Prior to you birthdate, and a few years after your Birthday we had a Alabama Championship.

AAMU
Alabama State
Miles
Tuskegee

The SWAC was no where around. Even JSU was a church school trying to make it.

Good for yall. I guess that's what made yall the FCS powerhouses you are today.

BTW, that lil' church school is now tops in the SWAC in academics (thanks U.S. News) and athletics (thanks, Commisioner's Cup). Maybe yall can use some of God's work in your institutions.

If you had not hired Bell and Bookman you could have reached the top four years ago. But I have to commend Mason for getting you all back on track.

I had a good time in spite of the rain. They do come to Bham and should post some pics of the bamas but I will not. I love my black people, the good, the bad and the ugly!

Just drove by Legion Field and there must be 10,000 people tailgating already and today is just Thursday. What a sight to see.

MD, you should have told those people that there was going to be a game played inside the stadium and encouraged them to buy a ticket. They probably just thought it was just a big BBQ outside or something. Or maybe they were just figured out that they can still hear the bands from the parking lot, so they don't have to pay $30 to go inside and hear it.

It is always a great day for BCF Fans. If you ever attend, you will see so many of your family and friends on the inside and outside of Legion Field. It doesn't matter if they are inside or outside, everybody had fun without incident. If someone had someone's elses significant other at the game, the crowd was too large to find them. Cellphones lines are busy and you cannot call them. (LOL) Even back in the day, the Soul Bowl was killed off due to a take over by the State of Mississippi. Therefore, you are more than welcome to attend next year. I will even get you a free ticket and a pork chop.
Stop listening to GR, he is one of the biggest supporters of the MCC, next to J-State.

I agree. Like I said, it's an event and an experience. And ain't nothing wrong with that. I don't know why some folks jumped down my throat when I said that. :noidea:

'Preciate the invite too, but I've cut back on red meat and pork. And I don't want folks to think I'm being snooty and uppity because I don't want to eat their pig feet sandwich.

If you come feel free to stop by the MMW Alumni Tailgate and kick it. Most people just ignore the MCC Smack because the attendees already know the deal.

Hey MD

I was listening to Tom Joiner this morning. He was talking about the great time he had at the MCC last weekend. Then he asked, "who won the game?" More proof that the weekend is an event and no one cares about the game. But Im sure every one had a great time.

You had Steve Harvey, Tom Joiner, Skywalker and about 500 Ques tailgating, so I doubt if any of them could tell you the color of the uniforms worned at the MCC. When the wave started you should have seen the players on both sides doing the wave. The MCC is more than a ballgame, it is an appreciation and dedication for all Americans.

thats good.. plenty of people have never heard of the CCC:lol:

I wasn't smackin'.....just being serious. Unlike some of you idiots I don't live and die worrying about trivial shit like who has or hasn't heard of 10,000 people in the parking lot sprayin' jehri curl juice 2 days before the game.

Dude, that's just who he is. NEGATIVE! My first MCC was in 1997 when I moved to Huntsville. Before then, I only had knowledge of two real classics, (Bayou Classic & Circle City Classic) and I grew up 100 miles from Bham. That goes to show, the oldest Black College Classic was not advertised well or maybe it didn't have a major sponsor. I think it's a great event but man it's some stuff walking around there. Red hair, blue, green hair, yellow hair and some newly created colors that Dulux would be proud of and just think, they were not halloween hair styles. It's some country black folks in b-ham and I have picyures to prove it.
