Kanye West Says He, Kim Kardashian More Influential Than Obamas

I have never seen a grown azz man act like a 3 year old throwing temper tantrums everytime his puffy jaws are on TV. Dude act like he got the brain of a 10 year old starving for attention.
 



jag89, I take you are not big hip hop fan... Now, I won't defend My Dark Twisted Fantasy or Yeezus but everything up until 808's was good in my opinion

I understand that most of his craft relies upon the digital technology industry, which I am sure is beyond his level of comprehension, since he hasn’t made any money off of just the technology itself. When Kanye' gains the capabilities of controlling the material (computer hardware) and the software that he use for his craft, then I'll say, he might be on to something. But as of now, he's just another music artist that a certain group of people like listening to.

You know people said Jimmy Hendrix and Stevie Wonder were musical geniuses for what they did as musicians. I'm just trying to keep things in perspective with the young people of today. Kanye isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before.

Sure Kanye' is a genius in his own way, but not on a scientific level. He's a musical genius of his time. 200 years from, do you think Kanye' will be as popular as Ludwig van Beethoven is with his music?

Why does the type of music matter? Different people excel at different things. I think opening Guitar riffs on Hotel California is one of the greatest displays of music ever recorded. I think Carlos Santana was a musical genius. I 2pac was a musical genius and masterful at putting his emotions into his music. I think Meatloaf made some great hits and anything for love was a classic. I think Celine Dione's all coming back to me now was great. I think most of those r&b groups of the 80's like lakeside were overrated and violated masculinity.

Like I said, it all depends on what a person likes. I felt so privilege to march in SU's band during the same time when Mr. Alvin Batiste was over SU's Jazz program. It's nothing like watching future great entertainers develop their talents into greatness, such as violinist Michael Ward. When musicians from SU's music program get together, it's always a NWK affair.

I think the hip-hop industry is all about connections. Ain't nobody running around the boonies trying to find the next great rapper. But if there was some kid at some raggedy school sinking 30 ft jumpers and skying to the hole, somebody will be trying to sign him up.
