This boy gets more ignant by the day. :shame: Also it is not the fact of what he said he is entitled to his opinion, but Kim is only influential to making sex tapes and she ain't that good at it if you ask me. She just laid there. Who enjoys that? Not me!!!

Walt Disney, Michael Jordan and Jesus Christ are but a few of the historical icons to whom rapper Kanye West has compared himself. Now, the outspoken artist has taken things a step further, measuring his public prominence against the president of the United States.

West stopped by "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" Tuesday with a stunning case on the syndicated radio program for why he and fiancée Kim Kardashian are more influential than the first couple.

During the interview, West was frank in his assessment of his influence on popular culture. "People get really hung up in the way I word things, but I'm the best," he told Seacrest. "That's the bottom line."

Despite the self-confidence, the 36-year-old rapper expressed frustration with being held back by "classism." Such bias is not only stalling his career, he said, but is holding back his fiancée, reality star Kim Kardashian.

"Now for me, what I want to create isn't about black and white, but the reason why I'm not able to create what I want to create is about being black and is about classism," he explained. "And that's that wall when I took my girl to the Met Ball and they put it up on Vogue.com and tried to say she wasn't there because they didn't want a reality show girl there.

"It's no way Kim Kardashian shouldn't be on the cover of Vogue," West continued. "She's like the most intriguing woman right now. Barbara Walters is calling every day. Of course, we're the most interesting and collectively we're the most influential, especially in clothing."

Truth be told they are...influential... Look at the college campuses. These students know more about "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" than anything.... Just cause folks our age could give a damn less about Kanye, Kim, and Delta Airlines...these young folks love them.

Also....Hitler was influential...but not in a positive way...

I honestly think Kanye West is a genius and one of the most creative musical artist we have seen in the past 30 years. College Dropout honestly is one of the most influential hip hop albums of the 21st century.

They actually changed the way the world operates today. I have not seen any of those people up there gaining fame and fortune by running around acting like a 8 year old temper tantrum throwing brat when they don't get their way, KAYNE, or spreading their legs for anybody with a camera and 7 figure bank account for pub. :lol:

Well, you could argue that Kayne and Kim have skills that the public and businesses feel they have to invest in, which is why they're rich and have influence. They might not be building computers or creating a social media site, but damnit, they have things folks wanna buy. And that all that matters.

Yes, but they weren't Betty Crocker made millionaires. I'm sure you are not trying to compare popular rappers to people who actually came up with some idea that would have a profound effect on how business is done worldwide for generations to come. Not too many of our young people see Bill Gates as one of their role models they would like to follow, but there are millions of wannabe rappers trying to be like individuals like Kanye West.

It takes some talent to hold an audience, though for an extended period of time. Lots of folks make fools of themselves on camera everyday, but how many bringing in generational wealth like Kim and Kayne? I don't watch too many of these shows to know half the folks who appear on them, but you'd be surprised how many people are interested in them.

What makes these people and shows attractive is because we love drama, sex, intrigue and salaciousness. They've exploited our fancy for that form of entertainment.

Yep. Because they don't relate to Bill Gates. He doesn't look like them. He doesn't talk like them. He hasn't had the shared experiences as them. He doesn't come from the same environment as them. That's why those wannabe rappers trying get into the game instead of finding ways to get on this computer software track like Gates.

Basically, they are looking for the superficial type of wealth or the wealth that has very little substance and only last a generation, which is very sad for their generation. Would it be nice if majority of them could relate to someone like a Bill Gates?

It's still unfortunate, because who or what they relate to on a cultural level doesn't have any long term value. Basically, the cultural things they relate to does very little in shaping the world's economy.

Do you all understand what the word influential means?

Kim Kardashian hasn't influenced me to do a damn thing nor has Kanye West. There is a subset of the population who watches her shows, buys his music and goes to his concerts. That is the extent of their "influence". Beyond that, I can't see what shift in behavior they've caused.

Kanye needs to sit his trying to turn a ho into a housewife ass down.

This clown is running around in jeans, t-shirts and gym shoes talking about he's fashionable. :lol:
