Just go to FCS Playoffs format FBS

Western Michigan barely beat Ohio last night so Navy might jump them in the last poll if they dominate Temple today in AAC title game

Again, each of the P5 conferences should only be allowed to get one school in. There would be no need to include Ohio State in your equation. The remaining 3 spots would be allocated for the remaining G5 conferences.
But you would be punishing Ohio State(who beat 3 top 10 teams) for playing in the toughest conference. Them losing 1 close game to Penn State (who is also a Top 6 team) on the road should not exclude them from the playoffs because you want to include 3 and 4-loss G5 schools that have no where near the resume. Also what happens if you have a 3-way tie for 1st place in a division between 3 11-1 teams that are all ranked in the Top 8 and beat each other?

Kenn said it best all P5 conference champions and 3 G5
So let's say 8-3 Florida manages to somehow upset 12-0 Alabama. You're comfortable leaving 11-1 Ohio State, 12-1 Alabama, and having 9-3 Florida, 10-3 Temple, and 10-3 W.Kentucky playing for the national title while the other schools sit at home because they lost one time to a Top 10 or 15 team?

Huh I really don't have anything against just saying facts if Ohio gets in we'll have a 8 team by 2020 and dude it's a money thing Ohio State vs Alabama National championship who wouldn't watch it............it's not computers anymore MAN PICKED
Where else would you rank Ohio State?

They beat #5 Michigan, #9 Oklahoma, #6 Wisconsin and Nebraska (who was top 10 at the time) with their only loss was on the road to # 7 Penn State. There is no way in the world you can keep them out.

I'm saying this....
Big 10 champion will be Penn State or Wisconsin
You leave them out they'll have to expand cause this two schools and more coaches will go crazy just like when LSU and Bama played

Wisconsin or Penn State would both have 2 losses, with Wisconsin actually losing to Ohio State and being in the opposite division.

Just finish the regular season early like FCS & Division 2 and start your playoffs the first week in December. But that will not happen because the sheep are happy with the bogus 4 team playoff that basically that only the SEC and the Big Ten has a chance of winning and plenty of money is being made, which that is what it is really all about. They will go to an 8 team playoff only when they start losing money. FCS & Division 2 does it right and they get very little television time, while the big boys don't and gets all the tv time. Time for a 12 team playoff fans.

I think the furthest they will go is a 6-team playoff, with the Top 2 seeds receiving a bye, and 3-6 playing on the homefield of the higher-seeded team in a sort of play-in game.

1) Alabama - Bye

3) Ohio State vs 6) Michigan

2) Clemson- Bye

4) Washington vs 5) Penn State

Final CFP rankings

1. Alabama (13-0; Southeastern Conference champion)
2. Clemson (12-1; Atlantic Coast Conference champion)
3. Washington (12-1; Pacific 12 Conference champion)
4. Penn State (11-2; Big 10 Conference champion)
5. Oklahoma (10-2; Big 12 Conference champion)
6. Ohio State (11-1; at-large/Big 10)
7. Michigan (10-2; at-large/Big 10)
8. Wisconsin (10-3; at-large/Big 10)
