Someone advised those Grambling players to boycott instead of educating them about the consequences of a boycott.
Keep in mind that Gram doesn't come to Jackson in 2017, when they are supposed to before this went down.Lawyers definitely know how to get paid without doing much. I wonder will the courts consider the SWAC's decision in making Grambling give up its home games to jSU for the next 3 years as part of their compensation package. It seems like both schools would be wise to hire a firm that can determine the economic impact of the homecoming game that was boycotted and the economic impact of the 3 games that Grambling would be made to play in a row for the next 3 years in Jackson. Except for the attorney's fees, monetarily this could be a wash.

Robber, let me ask you: If the SWAC kept that 2017 game on the schedule to be played in Jackson, is this a done deal?
Has someone from JSU made Duer and the SWAC office aware of this?
It was Duer who made the change. How could he not be aware of it?
In an emailed statement, the attorney general’s office said “... JSU has not asked our office to file a suit. Since JSU had no contract with Grambling, we would have to review JSU’s contract with the SWAC to determine whether the remedies for a forfeited game are exclusive or if it allows in-conference schools to sue one another for additional damages in excess of the compensation granted by the board members.”
In an interview with The Clarion-Ledger on Tuesday, Hood said making a public statement in this type situation is “not something we normally do, especially when it involves somebody in another state. They can sue you for declaratory judgment.”
From the article:
So what is it that you want J-State? Because it is clear that the AG wants nothing to do with this.

Where does the MS AG state in the article that the state doesn't want anything to do with this?
JSU received no response.
Again, no response.
That the 2017 game would have been a JSU home game if the boycott never took place??? From what I heard of Duer, he might not have cared about that.
I can see if JSU was just dominating the SWAC, always talking about leaving but can't even dominate a weak conference. Yall heads are so above the clouds and for what reason?![]()
How does an extra home game not recoup the guesstimated lost revenue.
$500K > $50K.
Anyone would be offended and would take legal action.
The End. :shame:
He says it right here:
